In the latest episode of the United Hour Podcast, Nik and Imran are here to talk about a frustrating 2 points dropped at Crystal Palace. They then discuss the regeneration of Old Trafford. During the fight and up until they interviewed Dubois, it was only shown once on my feed.
Fair enough. My stream is ESPN and they showed it a few times. They also showed it on the big screen there during the interview with Dubois so they don't seem to be trying to hide anything.
Fair enough if so. Warren claims it's actually Usyk that wants the payday. I don't know the actual reason or who is to blame (we're all just guessing or choosing whose story to believe), and it doesn't really matter to me because I'm of the belief that these guys should get as much as they can for what they do.
Legacy? The other 3 (or is it 4) titles?
That was not a low blow. That was absolutely perfect. Usyk is so lucky to get away with that. Contact is more or less on his naval.
Shame that Dubois didn't have the conditioning to win this fight, but he was in with one of the best in the regard. I thought the coverage was very pro-Usyk, Dubious was having more success than was being highlighted with body shots that were clearly hurting him.
Dubious could possibly pick up a title in a few years but he definitely needs to increase his stamina in my opinion.

A low blow doesn't mean your bollocks. It's below your belly button or waist and that was probably below.

I thought it looked low. Anyway, Usyk is brilliant but he can only go so far at heavyweight. I don’t think he has a chance against Fury or even Wilder.

Still find it surprising so many still underestimate Usyk so much, the idea that Fury or any other heavyweight can just walk over him seems strange to me. Wilder is probably a worse match up for him than Fury

man that was totally a low blow. Ward was a renowned dirty fighter, damn effective at it though and cute enough not to get caught or keep it borderline.I know, I think somebody else mentioned hitting him in the bollocks, which also looked like what Usyk was claiming when he was down. Also, his belt was high at the time anyway, think it was above his belly button.
I think he'd play with Wilder like a cat does with it's prey. Wilder is such a limited boxer, Usyk would run around him for 12 rounds and win on points.
Think he's only interested for the right money now isn't he. He'll forever and a day be challenged by the next guy and the next guy.
Has anybody watched the Fury series on Netflix? It does open your eyes a bit to his state of mind. He's clearly not a well guy mentally and his bipolar seems pretty bad, I know people with bipolar and he seems a lot worse with it. Think he probably struggles not having medication to 'level him out' a bit. It does show you though how up and down he is, seems in turmoil in his head half the time.
I think you’ve got to question how Dubois dipped out this time. He essentially stayed down from a jab.

Yeah he quit on this one, galling considering he’d crafted himself a massive opportunity for a huge upset, but you could see on his face he no longer fancied it in the deep waters.

It was a low blow unintentionally and yet again Dubois mentally checked out of a fight.
Say what you want about the low blow but Dubois getting body shots away and the ref jumping in to stop them and say no, it’s a legal shot to Usyk about 5 different times was a bit of a mind feck.

If the ref had actually started a full count against Usyk does anyone think he would of actually not got back? He would of and im fairly confident dubois couldn't of finished him and in the next round he would've done exactly what he does everytime he gets rattled.
It wasn’t low, but I think Usyk would have got back up before the count of 10. A rematch is the fair outcome.
There’s no way he was getting back up and winning that fight, even after a good 3 minutes to recover he looked gone. He didn’t even fully recover for the next 3 rounds!

At the time I didn't think the shot in the 5th round was a low blow and still think that way, feel like Usyk won the fight comfortably but other fighters will think they have a better chance at beating him now, he definitely did not look unbeatable.

I’ve just realised…..Dubois caused Usyk more problems by a long way than AJ did in two fights.
So I bumped into a guy at a chicken shop near Huddersfield tonight. Thought I recognised him straight away. Must be famous. Was sure I knew who it was. Racked my brains and came up with a name. Second guessed myself wondering what this guy would be doing in this part of the world today. Then a guy in the shop got a selfie with him. I was convinced. He came out of the shop where I had just ordered outside (this chicken shop is great and the queue is always out the door) . Plucked up the courage and asked ‘is it Hasselbaink?’
