Azim's fight seems to be going great from reading the updates.

Anyways, unrelated - a swim in a moving body of water wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if someone can point me in the right direction

Is Smith injured ? what are these tactics.

It's bizarre to watch, I think he's trying to tire out Eubank and then go in the later rounds. However the last few rounds has been one way traffic from Eubank.

Eubank has battered him. I think it’s showing that he got complacent in the first fight and took Smith too lightly which cost him in the first fight.

Pathetic performance from Smith, unless there’s something wrong with him we don’t know about.

Not buying that it’s in his ankles, he literally threw feck all from the opening bell

I can only theorise that he was shocked by the quality of Eubank, couldn't keep up with him. No matter what you do if you're not at the level you get found out.

Smith threw absolutely nothing. Surely/maybe down to injury and not being able to power through the shots but Eubank dominated him from the first bell.

Listening I couldn’t believe how Eubanks completely dominated, far be it from me to say boxing is corrupt but that was worse than seeing an odds on favourite at Royal Ascot getting beat by a 100-1 shot.

I just think the eye test has always told me that Smith is a B- fighter and Eubank is a B+

Eubank seems to have terrible professionalism and attitude problems and I honestly think he was being pretty honest about barely training for the first fight and got a wake up call. I think what his dad said about him was pretty much spot on.

Reminded me of Cotto Martinez where Sergio was completely and utterly finished but fought anyway

Liam Smith didn't want to be in there from the start

Yeah I agree. Think Eubank had some skills and ability but held himself back most of his career with his attitude and things like that. He maybe could have been better but he is just a B level in the grand scheme.

What did his dad say about him?

Why are the Manchester crowd so pro-Smith? Eubank is a United fan.

Bingo. He took it seriously this time and was comprehensively the better fighter.

I thought Smith would at least start swinging when he was clearly a mile behind on points but he died on his arse rather than his sword

It was pretty much a crowd full of Scousers.
All that dole money spent on travel, tickets and drinks….and Smith turns in that shite performance….they’ll be fffhhhhhhhuuumin mate

Quite a lot but essentially that he thought he was devoting too much of his attention to the fame side of stuff and not taking his training seriously enough and that he doesn't listen to trainers.

Pretty brutally open interview on talksport.

Shite from Smith but I still think the trilogy sells if Eubank/Benn doesn't get made next.

I reckon Smith retires honestly. Especially as I reckon the PPV will do terribly so the payday isn't going to be life changing for the trilogy.

Eubank was much better this time. He’s never really put in the graft with any discipline and it’s previously showed with lazy spells in fights. He punched constantly last night and once he hurt Smith it was over. I think he said inI the build up he’s been getting up at 8 and has used a nutritionist for the first time whereas he was previously lying in and training in the afternoon. I’m guessing the earlier starts has led to Bo Mac giving him extra sessions.

For his part,Smith cited having to drop 3 stone after his injury led to him being flat. He normally has to warm into a fight but last night was particularly placid; for large parts he was literally throwing nothing.

I went to the fight and i can't believe how many people were supporting Smith and also how many were certain he'd win again.

There was obviously alot of scousers there but I met people from Brum, Sheffield and even Manchester who wanted him to win. Such a one-sided crowd. Made me laugh when they played two oasis songs just before Liams walk out. To be fair though I've never heard a scouser sing along to wonderwall in all honesty. I was cheering Eubank so loud in front of loads of Smith fans. Amazing how i left the arena in one piece.

For me Eubank didnt look on it in the first fight, not sure whether Benn cut was a factor but he was not 100%. He looked good tonight. Even from the start. Could tell he trained well and had a good camp and wanted to make a statement.

Respect to Smith though. He took a variety of punches for a while and did his best.

Eubank won every round, a bit disappointed in Smith thought he would have had a bit more, Eubanks jab was finding the target the guy wasn't even in the fight at all, comfy win.. if there's a 3rd and Eubank has the same quality only one winner again.

Looks Crawford and Eubank are on the lookout for a new trainer. Bomac decided it was a good idea to carry a loaded gun when boarding his plane in Manchester :wenger: thats just beyond dumb. On remand now until his Oct 9.

Silly bastard. I'm intrigued as feck about this though. Did he somehow manage to get the gun from America into the UK through airport security at both ends when he was travelling over here? Alternatively, how and why would he buy a gun illegally in his brief stint in Manchester? And why on earth would he attempt to bring it back to America with him illegally, when he could probably have bought the same gun legally as soon as he landed in America?

So many questions. I had the same thoughts. On the face of it doesn't make much sense at all.

Maybe one day in my lifetime boxing will unify to have one belt for each weight class, and mandated fights done by rank. A man can dream.

Too many fingers in too many pies for that to happen, I think. It's a ridiculous sport at this stage. It's seemingly set up to keep the best guys away from each other.

It could happen, it needs a new promotion that is structured differently and more popular. If there is more money in it the fighters will flock there.

It's very difficult though when you've got fecking youtubers making a mockery of the sport and getting PPV purses after one or two training camps under the current status quo.
