Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

She's showed signs of instability and insecurity but so have plenty of characters. She goes from someone we're meant to be at least partially rooting for to the point of literal insanity within a scene, all because her mate died. This being a character who's spent her entire existence being persecuted and with people who wanted to kill her. Getting brutal and holding no prisoners would've been fine - becoming the show's most evil character within the space of an episode is just shite writing. And I say that as someone who liked the idea of an extended arc where she started to go a bit mental. It was done terribly.

She spent the early years of her life on the run from people trying to kill her after her entire family had been murdered. In the last episode she gave a lordship to the son of the guy who took her family's throne. It's dreadful character development to go from that to the point of pure evil within the space of five minutes. Made Anakin's turn in Star Wars look well thought-out.

she made gendry lord to consolidate her power and make him loyal to her.

I'm right in the middle, on the edge. On one hand, they have been stressing about Targs going mad, but I would've never thought she would just decide, "let's kill everyone (women and children)" like her father saying, "burn them all!"

In my opinion the other episodes this season have been unfairly criticized, but this one was really crap in my opinion. The first episode I genuinely thought was not good at all.

Sure, but it showed she was willing to compromise with potential enemies to consolidate said power. Here instead of taking a more decisive turn to simply take the city she instead becomes pure evil on a level worse than any character the show has seen thus far. I'm not sure how that can be considered at all realistic. Again I like the idea of her turning but it should've been a gradual process. Two episodes ago she was fighting the dead to save humanity. Was never necessarily a huge fan of the character, but it's clear that was just shoddy development.

People complain far too much about everything. I thought it was brilliant television and I absolutely loved every bit of it. Dany had always been capable of losing her mind but she always had good advisors whom she trusted besides her to keep her in check. Not anymore. She lost Jorah Mormont, Missandei was killed right in front of her, she doesn't trust her hand, Varys was planning to get Jon to overthrow her and then when finally Jon refused her love she just snapped and went full Mad Queen.

what was the color of the horse Arya got when she was riding with the Hound in season 5 (the episode where the Hound wanted to eat allll the chickens and she got her needle back)??

It was white, wasn't it? hmmm

I've been fairly negative all season, but that was so good. No one's negativity is making me think otherwise.

It also means the last episode will be massive, I kind of always expected it to be am aftermath. But there's still a lot to happen.

As long as the bitch isn't on the throne, just in the kitchen cooking the horse for the feast.

Amirite?
