Conte leaving is not surprising even without considering Abramovich.
He's just used to it.

He left us just at the beginning of pre-season after we failed to buy one of his targets, and after constantly mocking his players (he literally said that we were like toy tanks going against real ones, after we failed to make to the round of 16 in cl; with the same team that reached the final the year after) and our board for being parsimonious (other infamous quote "You can't dine at a 100€ restaurant with 10€")

I guess that ,after winning the PL with Chelsea, discovering that he can't spend gigamillions on the market is too much for his ego.
He seems to not have a plan b for his transfers : either I get my new toys or I'll feck off.

But our first signing was a young center-back? And Morata and a medium/good winger won't be enough to solve it. We need two forwards, at least. I say we buy Belotti first and let's see if Real Madrid hold Morata in their attempt at Mbappé.
C'mon now this isn't football fantasy. How can you buy two players that cost you well over £70m and keep one on the bench? You can't keep both players happy if their not playing. One will have a strop and that causes problems in the dressing room. Belotti has had ONE good season in a league Dzeko was top scorer in.

I hope we're signing someone else like Auba or Belotti and tell Madrid to feck off then they'll give in and we get him for no more than £60m because the price seems to be up every fecking day.

Must be nice being a football "journalist".

It's the easiest job in the world.
I have this mental image of an office block where they write for Sky Sports, and in the corner is a fruit machine where the left wheel is replaced with top premier league clubs, the middle with various players and the right with values starting from £35m. Every night they give it a spin, fire off some tweets, then call it good for a night.

That's why Belotti wouldn't mind so much sitting a few games. Anyhow, moving to 4-4-2 to accommodate Rashford better would mean both Morata and Belotti would be used quite regularly. Besides, there are Champions League games, also. If United want to make it, they have to spend it. We're losing Ibrahimović and Rooney (hopefully, I'm sorry), coming from a season where we couldn't score goals, why the hell could we not buy two forwards?

Won't improve them one bit.
He's technically gifted and in a less tactical league as the PL he'll do well.

That said, I really hope we sell him ASAP
Marco Verratti has said "yes" to a move to FC Barcelona, according to tomorrow's Catalan paper SPORT.
Unfortunately for Barcelona he's not the one who has to say Yes

Christ, I know it's probably paper bollocks to aid the Morata talks, but some of the targets we're linked to this summer  This summer the Muppet suicides will come because we actually managed to sign some of these players

What's wrong with Andre Gomes. This place was creaming over him last year when we were linked with him. Didn't work out at Barcelona. Doesn't mean he's shite.

He's super talented, maybe not the right mentality, although he wouldn't be the first to have a tough debut season. I wanted him last summer, but then we got Pogba, so I don't see the need now.

Of course. Still, he's not the defensive midfielder we need, is he?

maybe Jose sees Herrera as that DM and wants another #8. I only see us being linked with #8s Sanches, Bakayoko in January now this guy
Don't think so, Herrera at #6 might be a liability with lack of height, something Mourinho worries. Besides, Herrera is more useful recovering high on the pitch.
