Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

It will be fun if Milan ask him to stick around this season. The fans are going to lay into him.

Another young player being ill advised by his agent. He's only 18, why the hurry to go to such a toxic club? I would rather see him go to Juventus, replace Buffon and continue his legacy

I cannot wait for SUPERBOOM! That will probably happen if Real Madrid accept our bid.

Most mature decision of his career. I don´t get why players voluntarily give a club an option to buy you back so they can make a profit in case you succeed. You are obviously not wanted or good enough right now, so make a clean break and move on. Look at the Morata mess. No extension-loans or buybacks.

No please not those feckers

They are not taking advantage of this situation to sign one of the best goakeepers in the world for free. They fecking did that with Pogba, they did that with Pirlo, they did that with Alves. I would be furious if Juve would get Donnarumma to seal their GK position for the next 20 years let alone get him for free. These feckers get everything for free...

I don't like the idea of Real taking their prize again either. But atleast it will keep DDG at United which is important.

And Tielemans cost Monaco €25M. Anderlecht probably looking around now and bitter they got screwed....royally. ;)

No not really,

Tielemans was on the verge of leaving Anderlecht for already a couple of seasons. They have done well to keep him as long as they did and sell him for €23m which is a Belgian competition record fee. The thing is Anderlecht had promised him last year he could make a transfer and they would cooperate if he stayed with them for this season. He did, he had a very good season, they kept their promise and they got a Belgian record fee for him. They are not bitter at all about anything. Especially as they already replaced him with Sven Kums.

But Dendoncker is actually a more important player for them than Tielemans. Also they made no promises to him about being cooperative in any transfer. In fact they are trying to do anything to keep him for another year because they just know they will need him next season. Them asking €38m is a scare off tactic to keep away any interested clubs unless any would be willing to pay it, in which case it is total jackpot for them. No doubt they will be trying to give Dendoncker a smilar deal as they gave Tielemans, promise of a smooth transfer in exchange for staying another year and signing on.

Most mature decision of his career. I don´t get why players voluntarily give a club an option to buy you back so they can make a profit in case you succeed. You are obviously not wanted or good enough right now, so make a clean break and move on. Look at the Morata mess. No extension-loans or buybacks.

Meh, gotta figure it's a way to discount the fee for the buying club (i.e. we'll sell at a lower price if you put in these buy-back/sell-on clauses). Doubt we'd exercise a buy-back clause, but can see us profiting from a sell-on clause, if even a little bit.

No issue with no buy-back on Adnan. Shows a bit of steel on his part (for once in his young career) and also, I never expect him to break through and be a truly top player. West Ham or similar level at best, but I reckon probably even lower than that - French Ligue 1 side or something, but nobody of note, one of the standout players at that club.

Yup

But what are we going to do ? It is not like we have many alternatives. Everton will want similar money for Lukaku, Torino are asking release clause for Belotti. No matter who we buy, we are just getting fleeced. If it is true that Aubameyang isn't off to PSG, I guess we could try to go for him altough I don't think he will work out for us (Dortmund players never seem to really work out here) and he won't be much cheaper aswell.

Juve paid €90m for Higuain. I that respect I could live with paying €90m for Morata if he is really the kind of striker that Mou wants.

Concerning Mbappe, Real is getting him no matter if we decide to pull the plug on Morata or not.

Oh no, i'm not saying we should pull out, they just irk me. I think partly because we didn't spend like we should have when we were the dominant force in English football (just as Madrid are doing now) it makes it all the worse. I think we should pay whatever they ask for Morata and any of Jose's targets. We need to get back to the top and we can't afford (no pun intended) to take the morale high ground when it comes to transfers any longer.
