Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

If they want that for Morata, we want 500m plus Bale, Ronaldo, Modric, rights to change the name of the Bernabeau, complete control of the city of Madrid for the next 100 years and a ongoing fee of 50m per second while De Gea is on the pitch for them.
That's way too much mate.
Maybe 20m per season.

What a slow news day. No updates at all on our transfers. After the hubbub of yesterday, I expected something similar today. Instead we get bad news of Fabinho non-interest and Real being hard to deal with. Bah!

Don't know why people stressing over Morata. Deal will be done. Minor fee differences are irrelevant to us fans. Just let the clubs conclude talks. People want some shit to whine about. Papers guessing about when it'll close, so then have to make up reasons for a delay when their fictitious closing date expires. And impatient fans are all too ready to jump on the bandwagon. It'll get done when it's done.

Some of you need to find more productive uses of your time.

feck Madrid, I didn't mind funding Mbappe if we got James and Morata, but at this rate it's just going to be Morata.

I really fecking hate Madrid. They have a bench warmer who wants to leave and they demand 90million Euros for him. This means that with the money they fleece us for they'll actually only end up spending around 50 million on Mbappe (minus our 90) and have a player who's likely to become the best in the world in his position within the next few years and get a good 10 years service out of him.

Yup

But what are we going to do ? It is not like we have many alternatives. Everton will want similar money for Lukaku, Torino are asking release clause for Belotti. No matter who we buy, we are just getting fleeced. If it is true that Aubameyang isn't off to PSG, I guess we could try to go for him altough I don't think he will work out for us (Dortmund players never seem to really work out here) and he won't be much cheaper aswell.

Juve paid €90m for Higuain. I that respect I could live with paying €90m for Morata if he is really the kind of striker that Mou wants.

Concerning Mbappe, Real is getting him no matter if we decide to pull the plug on Morata or not.

I think Madrid could also be seeking to pay us back a bit for faxgate under LVG. Especially if we have told them to forget about signing DDG, this could be their way of saying feck you United. Anyway if we pay €90m for Morata, I sure as hell hope we aren't selling them DDG, else we would look really clueless

feck Madrid, I didn't mind funding Mbappe if we got James and Morata, but at this rate it's just going to be Morata.

We should just bid an insane amount for Mbappe, even if he prefers Madrid. Then put in a huge offer for Kroos. Just start unsettling their players like we did with Ramos. Then they will start to play ball with Morata.

Maybe we'll just buy Chicharito and give pep talk to Martial (that he is the best) all season :nervous::nervous::nervous:

Abramovich lets his manager make such a decision?

Well, the world has really changed.
Maybe he was in good spirits :D

Anyways, you see the real Abramovich when things start going down or creates a perception of going down. Now after the league win, it is all hunky dory

Any of the strikers United are linked to (Lukaku, Bellotti, Morata) all cost around £80m. We can get all indignant about Madrid bumping the price, but in the end, we're going to pay somebody due to the current shambles of the United squad as a whole after LVG and Moyes and the glaring hole at the striker position. None of this is rocket science.

What's important, is that Mourinho gets who he thinks is the best fit. Clearly that is Morata over the other 2 options. So in the end, United will pay up. Only way we don't, is if Morata starts making some noise to be let go. But really, why should he? This deal isn't going to be scuppered over £10m, give or take.

Just posted this in another post, thought it may be relevant in here too......

thinking about it, there aren't really many holding/DM's out there, maybe get a few years out of Matuidi, and see if any players develop in that time?

Ive said it a few times but i'm really gutted Monaco got Tielemans, i really think he's going to develop into a great player in the next couple of years, he started off as a holding midfielder for Anderlecht, but they gave him a more box 2 box role in his last season where he had a decent year. He's very quick and has a good shot on him, and with him playing in a few different positions he probably has a good range of abilities. I understand we don't need a kid but an established player to improve us, but for 25 million (iirc) Monaco have got a steal there. I honestly thin he'll go triple that in a few years (ill more than likely be wrong though )

I digress, so quick look at anyone i can think of:

Matuidi - too old?
Verrati - muppet signing, not really the holding/DM we need?
Dier - meh
Danilo Pereira - not seen enough of him
Matic - tough to prise away from Chelski?
Carvalho - young and would be a risk?
Renato - bad first season with Bayern, would they be willing to let him go, and if they did is he also a risk?
Fosu-Mensah - already plays for us, had a great few games under LVG, one mistake against Chelsea and not really seen him since? Bit young? definitely one for the future
Thiago Maia - bit of a FM signing, but bags and bags of potential, been a regular with Santos for 3 years and is only 20. But again a risk as he's young, and we've never had much luck with Brazillian midfielders!
Naby Keita - think it's been mentioned somewhere we should hijack any move to Liverpool as they're keen. I agree, looks a great player, has experience in one of the 'big' leagues, is still very young and has lots of stamina. Already has 25 caps for Guinea (yeah i realise its only Guinea) which at 20 is impressive.

So to sum up, my top 3 would be one of
Keita
Matuidi
Matic

Gotta love silly season, when people expect their billions-pounds worth clubs to be run by 8 year olds

Feels like it's going to be one underwhelming window

I'm expecting Perisic and Morata to be the last two in, alongside Lindelof with us waiting for Griezmann and putting aside funds for Jan/next summer possibly. If that's how it ends up then we won't improve on our finishing position for this past season.

#Donnarumma will not renew the contract with @acMilan @SkySport

Next Real GK then ?

I don't know if this is good decision from him or not but I would have preferred him to stay at least for one season. Milan are building a new team and can't afford to lose their only current great player.

Raiola is a twat tbh and I hate him a lot.

Good, move to Real so we can stop with the De Gea soap opera every summer.

Obviously Donnarumma needs to look out for his bosses best interest. Raiola doesn´t want to stay at Milan.
I'd of thought he'd got enough money out of the Pogna deal, clearly not.

Could just be trying to panic De Gea into a move if they move for a young goalkeeper his chances of moving back to Madrid are very slim.
