Milan have agreed a fee with Barca already so they have first refusal

It was previously stated that not only have they agreed a fee, they are required to complete the deal (obviously subject to the players agreement).

Most likely that Milan will sign him then swap him to City for Ballotelli.

If City signed Zlatan and Kaka I wouldnt lose much sleep.

Nor would I. Very commercial signings, that wouldn't improve their first team that much. They need to be signing more real quality players like Yaya Toure who has been sensational for them. Zlatan I feel would only increase the high ego attitude and arrogance at the training ground - and they have enough players like that already.

Yeh exactly. They have other areas of much more pressing concern. If they went out and signed a quality centre half and a left back id be much more nervous.

They will make 2/3 marquee signings in the summer which wont help the team spirit one bit.

The thing is, Zlatan's ego is like Ronaldo. He thinks highly of himself, but he does back it up on the football field. His signing would make City more consistent against the lower and mid-table teams, and with the increased experience of the English game he may start performing that way against us top teams.

I don't care about Kaka, but Zlatan is one person I do not want City buying. He's too dangerous for my liking, the kind of player who if it does work out would single-handedly push City to the next level.

Silva and Toure behind him would be formidable. Push Balotelli in there somewhere and theyd trouble any defence.

Ibrahimovic laughs off 'untrue' Real link

Zlatan Ibrahimovic laughs off 'untrue' Real Madrid link - ESPN Soccernet

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has completely dismissed reports that he could be a transfer target for Real Madrid and insisted he wants to stay with the Rossoneri "for another three years".

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was a big hit in his first season with Milan, scoring 21 goals in 41 games

Ibrahimovic, 29, enjoyed an excellent 2010-11 season with Milan - impressing enough to earn a permanent return to Serie A from Barcelona.

The Swedish forward scored 21 goals in his one season in Catalonia, but he never appeared to fit in at Camp Nou and Barca's signing of David Villa last summer signalled the end of his time at the club.

Ibrahimovic moved on loan to Milan before completeing a permannet deal in January, though his move back to Italy did not sit well with fans of city rivals Inter, for who he had played for three seasons between 2006 and 2009.

Now Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo has suggested Ibrahimovic could make another controversial move.

It says the striker is interesting Real Madrid, coached by former Inter boss Jose Mourinho - who swapped him with Samuel Eto'o in the summer of 2009.

But Ibrahimovic, who has won a domestic league title in each of his last five seasons, insists the report is hearsay and spelled out his intention to stay at Milan.

"It's completely untrue," he told Swedish media. "I want to stay with Milan for another three years. I am happy there."

Real are thought to be looking to bolster their attacking oprions after missing out on the Primera Division title for a third successive season, with Sergio Aguero thought to top their list of potential targets.

He might pull a Ronaldo if he plays for Real Madrid. The top two teams in both the Spanish and Italian leagues.

He's played his best football in Italy so should stay there for the foreseeable future, he clearly suits the Italian league.

It'd just be another case of him going to a club that don't need him, to make their current best player - a notably better player - less effective, IMO, if they were to get the best out of Ibrahimovic. Never mind messing about with Benzema who's been improving rapidly over the past 2 years. Seems hugely unlikely.

Zlatan & Ronaldo in the same team is a disaster waiting to happen when it comes to penalty and free-kick taking.

That whole circus is full of egocentric personalities, I don't think another one is going to make a difference. If there is a bust up of some sort it'll be Ibra who will be forced out, not Ronaldo.

Are Real trying to out stupid Barca in a transfer deal involving Ibrahimovic?

Maybe, but the Madrid squad don't seem to say anything when Ronaldo blazes 3 consecutive FK's over the bar, then grabs the ball quickly when the 4th opportunity comes along. I reckon Zlatan would definitely have his input.

Not just set-pieces, but that was just an example.

Aye. Ibrahimovic is fundamental to how Milan play. I cannot see Kaka offering anywhere near as much creatively. And equally Mourinho has the perfect balance in being able to call on two centre-forwards - both of whom are hungry and dedicated enough to have spells on the bench without throwing the towel in.

It'd be idiotic even by Madrid standards to get Ibra and drop Benzema to the bench in the process because there's no way both of them can play in that formation of theirs. Also, their style is much much better suited to Benzema leading the line.

In what world would we want Zlatan? Ridiculous. Even if his agent wasn't Raiola he's a mercenary. SAF would not touch Ibra with a 30ft pole. I doubt Juventus would be willing to spend the money needed to pry him away from PSG either.

Juve are definitely monitoring the situation, even being prepared to offer Matri and Vidal - according to La Gazzetta

If Moyes is insistent on playing ancient forward play....he's a better option than RVP.

Where is that coming from  ?
To be honest Kouroux, I think he's overated. Thats only my opinion though and I know a lot rate him on here. Sure he's got some good skills which emerge now and again but I think I would rather have someone who plays for the team rather than themselves. But there is more chance of plaiting fog than him coming here anyhoos!

He's playing for his team alright, he's PSG's most creative player, their playmaker and main goalscorer. Even when playing for his national team he carries a lot of the creativity burden. I think the Zlatan you described was one from years ago, definitely not the one playing now.

He's been his team's most consistent performer since 2006, with the exception of his time at Barca.

Ibra attempting to speak French at a PSG awards ceremony. Sirigu and Verratti pissing themselves laughing

 That's brilliant, it reminds me of the assembly's we used to have at the school I went to where we'd just be taking the piss out of whoever was speaking!
