Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Yeah he had an effect by the end but the goal was offside and the assist was a good piece of play. His overall performance wasn't very good though, but of course that will be totally forgotten.
It should be. Because without being at his best he sill affected the game overall. Just like a Messi did vs PSG.

 His passing percentages were poor because he had a poor touch on the day. And passing the ball inaccurately because you're "hopeful" is something all footballers do. Only Ibrahimovic gains praise for it from you.

He was poor, but also lucky. A goal and a pass for a teammate to embarrass Valdes are enough for fanboys to hide him under. He was wasteful, he was clumsy, he was inaccurate with his touches, passes and finishing but he was Zlatan. So I guess none of that matters.

All targetmen flick the ball on hoping there's someone in that area, it's impossible to accurately flick on every ball when half the time you're playing it blind. It's not something to praise him for, it's just not something to criticise him for either. There were a couple of times in the box when his touch let him down that you seem to be clinging on to, there were plenty of other times where he brought the ball down beautifully with Busquets breathing down his neck.

Yeah, we all have some irrational love for good ol' Zlatan. It's never Ekeke and the rare couple of others, it's everyone else. I'd said in that thread that he was playing well before his offside goal but nope, I'm a fanboy hiding him under something or other.

I always knew of him really more for his infamous quotes before his arrival at Camp Nou but after I saw him regularly I felt quite comfortably concluding he's the most skilled big man I've seen. That flick was an example of one of the many wonderful touches a man of his size can rarely pull off - yet he can barely connect on a header :D

The guy's quality, no question about it. Had a bit of an off night but he was always causing problems

Zlatan losing it with Leonardo during the celebrations tonight! He'll be off to Juve then?

What a nutter.

Yeah, I thought he was off before watching that regardless. French league isn't competitive enough for him. Juventus could be a choice - although, I can potentially see City going for him too.

@tancredipalmeri

Correction.Ibrahimovic tells (screams) Leonardo:"20 minutes I've been there!Couldn't get out!You have always to ruin everything!"

apparently

from youtube comment:

"you left me there alone; they closed me there for twenty minutes; yes, i could not leave, you always ruin everything, i was alone ,alone... "

Leonardo's answers are unintelligible, i can only understand " ma dai", which means "come on ..."

If true he has every right to be pissed off. PSG won their first title in 18 or so years and your owner takes you out of the celebrations right away to tell you to take a drug test. I'd tell him to feck right off.

Oh well, that's another tediously controversial anecdote for the follow-up to I Am An Egomaniac.

Maybe he was also pissed at Leonardo over the incident with the ref that could see PSG deducted some points.

And then potentially get banned for refusing to take a drugs test?

Boo hoo I had to do a drugs test. Boo hoo Guardiola and Messi

Behaving like a child again. "Left me there alone.." Grow the feck up you piece of shit.

Thank you for your quality input. I wonder who's immature here, especially given your absolute lack of knowledge about what actually happened.

Why on earth would they want to give him a drug scan in the middle of title celebrations?

Its not like its the owner's drug test though is it? I'm sure the French authorities were the ones who asked for it.

Just to give this a bump for the rumour watchers.

Zlatan, according to one of the Spanish TV shows is apparently interested in a move to Real Madrid. This story aired last week and I just assumed this was a non-starter, that PSG wouldn't sell and Madrid wouldn't match his wages, but they keep adding new details to it.

There have also been a couple of new twists since then - PSG have apparently given him a little extra time off so that he doesn't need to report back for pre-season training this week and PSG have also apparently joined the bidding for Cavani

Well Ancelotti managed him last year and is in need of a quality striker. I could easily see him at Madrid if the financials can be sorted out.

Zlatan is aging incredibly well due to his dedication to his physique. Bar injuries I think he can perform in a number 10 role for another couple of years.

He may be 31 but he may very well be the top striker with the best physical abilities right now. He is faster than Rooney, stronger than Rooney, the most acrobatic top striker in the world, has great technique and can still win 1 on 1's consistently.

Paying 20 mill for him would be an absolute steal for a team like Arsenal/Liverpool/Chelsea.

Noteworthy is that Ibrahimovic has a better physique right now than 2 years ago which shows his dedication to that part.
