English club annoying it's own English fans?

Strange.
I thought that too. I don't understand this anti-English sentiment that foreign fans have. The club is steeped in rich history, and English players have always had a core role to play in the club. The fans that support the team on wet and cold days at Villa Park are mostly English.

It's just pathetic.

Why is that the great players of this generation get accused of bottling it on the big stage?

Henry, Ronaldo, Zlatan, heck even Messi got this criticism. Why can't people just see they're ludicrously talented players?

But definitely not racist! You can't be racist to the English, or something.

Spot the odd bottler out from that list.

3 world class players, and Berbatov - I mean Zlatan.

we need a pacey 25 goals per season player a la ruud or cole...zlatan is not that. Fabiano or huntelaar might be,fergie clearly dont fancy huntelar, had lots of chances to sign him but never has.

Was Ruud quick? I think i missed that, that's not meant to be flippent I honestly can't remember him being really quick...

Fabiano would be perfect if his skills were solely considered. However, the guy has attitude beyond belief! Would be a good alternative to an Eto'o, though he isnt exactly an angel either!

Ruud was deceptively quick over longer ground. No one noticed because he'd always goal hang and put away clinical finishes. Top striker. Nothing like Zlatan.

The thing that I like about the way Zlatan plays, is that in the box (and when given enough room just outside the box) his first instinct is to shoot.

I think that is something Rooney and Berbatov need to improve on in their play. A front 3 of Rooney, Berbatov and Zlatan would be great.

IF and it's a massive if United sign Zlatan i guarantee you right now that he'll be a huge success. He would be the number 1 striker in the team in a matter of months.

Of course no-body will know as it is so unlikely to happen but if it did (and i hope it does) the doubters will feel a tad silly once again.

Odds are now 11/4 for him to join United. Does that mean anything at all. This is the first time I have seen the odds for him to join United but I am assuming they were never this high.

Very good point, he has the selfishness to take his chances. It's something I've always wanted to see in Rooney (not even Berba but surely Rooney)

Yeah it is something I have noticed after watching him play and then watching Rooney and Berbatov. I do not think I have seen Berbatov shoot from outside the area for United. I think his goal against spurs was just on the line.

Zlatan used to be like that, Capello made him shoot more by showing him footage of Marco Van Bastard. He said Zlatan should be like him, know when he can score and score more goals because he was never prolific.

Now he is selfish but he still remains the most creative central striker in world football (for my money) and the combination is why he is rated so highly. How many players are rated so highly and are genuinely average?

It's rare because to get that recognition you need to be far above average and Zlatan is world class.

The Italian press have been bigging up this move all week (so my Italian contacts tell me anyway!), which might explain it.

Good player but i hope we don't sign him. He just seems a bit of a ****

EDIT: What the? since when has cunt been censored? Have i accidently signed up to RAWK

I don't get why people bang on about Zlatan's personality, without it he'd be half the player he is. Neither do I see where you get it from, he's been loyal to clubs he's been playing for, not expressing any transfer desires whatsoever, he seems to be showing alot of respect to Mourinho too and that would only be the same here at United under Ferguson.

I don't have a specific reason, he just seems a bit of a ****.

Nothing to do with it. It's his attitude on the pitch, and his face.

does anyone think we can fit him in our team though, and keep him happy with rotating with the likes of rooney, owen, berbatov, nani and valencia? I really have my doubts especially with the signing of owen. Thoughts??

Would make perfect sense if we didn't have Berbatov, you never know with Fergie though, he's personally said 4 quality strikers is the key to success (ala 99' - York, Cole, Teddy, Ole)

So you didnt see him playing under mourinho last season? he hardly missed a game, he tried his hardest and was the only reason they won anything.

I take it you hated Ronaldo since "he just seems a bit of a ****." and because of his "attitude on the pitch, and his face."
