He's a brilliant defender but how often do you come up against a player who is 6ft 3 and as strong as anyone?
It's a test for Vidic, more of a test than Drogba.
Not in my opinion. Drogba is a superior all-round player to Ibrahimovic.

... and Carrick on his toes a la Mascherano
Shouldn't be too much of a problem - they will be hard to break down but their attack can be a tad disjointed against top op. Their fullbacks can be a threat on the overlap but i should imagine they (Maxwell and Maicon) will have enough on their hands. Stankovic, Mancini and Quaresma are nothing that we cannot handle. I do worry about us not breaking them down and playing too cautiously; they could go through with a late/away goal as is customary of Mourinho's sides.
Messi in his first game after tearing a muscle was just about handled fair enough so if Zlatan is out for 6-7 weeks and has just returned to training i'm sure you will handle him with about the same ease as you handled Messi.
Carragher and co handled Zlatan quite nicely over 2 games last season, or had he come off an injury when they played Liverpool? Zlatan will be the biggest threat but I think Rio and Vidic can do what Carragher and co did against him.

I think Mascherano did the job on him.
It didn't help that Inter had a player sent-off which further isolated him with the ensuing substitutions.
yeah, they had a player less, but he still failed to make any sort of impact. that sort of performance can't be excused by being marked or having a player sent off. The very best more often than not make their presence felt despite any setbacks their team might have had. Zlatan didn't make such an impact. I'm not saying he won't show up again when they play us as I think he's a great player and will be the biggest threat for us, but that's what happened against Liverpool and I expect Vidic and Rio to handle him.
Ibrahimovic had a hole in his knee. That was the last game he played until the last game of the season i think.
He missed 2 guilt edge chances.
But he also set up INters best chance with a wonderful reverse pass to Cruz. But Cruz missed and Zlatans shit...
I think if there has been a striker who physically put Vidic in trouble it was Drogba and I don't think Zlatan is as strong as him, technically it's another matter.
that might explain his shit performance against Liverpool, although Ronaldo played with an ankle that required operation last season, that didn't stop him banging in 42 goals though....
so he missed two good chances while making one chance, therefore he was great against Liverpool?
Be that as it may his ankle injury didn't stop him playing. Ibra played 45mins of football that season after the liverpool game and could barely manage a full game in the euros.
and Ibra's injury stopped him from playing against Liverpool? Inter were knocked out of the CL and were never gonna lose the title, there was no need to make him play, whereas Ronaldo kept us in the league and the CL and neither trophies were a done deal, so he had to carry on playing with an injured ankle, the margins with which we won the league and the CL illustrate this point.
Wrong again, Ibra returned for 45mins in the final game of the season because despite the lead they had it was down to the last game. 0-0 at half time so Ibra comes back early from his injury to score 2 goals to seccure the title.

doesn't change the fact that he was still shit against Liverpool, the injury does explain his poor showing against Liverpool but then again Ronaldo played with an injured ankle and didn't even take some time off to let it get better like Zlatan and still produced the goods. Inter had the luxury to let their best player take some time off to help his injury. Anyways, there's no point in going on about this, I rate him and think he'll be the biggest threat to us just as Messi was when we played Barca last season, but we're capable of containing him just as we did against Messi, Eto'o and co.
It's pretty embarassing writing Zlatan off in big games.
He doesn't have to score, he can make that little back-heel flip to win the game in seconds
Good player. Funny at times but mostly an arrogant prick. Doesn't play well enough for the national team. Is doing really well at Inter. I don't think he would be a good fit at United.
He is the most overated player on the planet.
Course he is.
Did you read these boards after the Liverpool Inter tie last year.
People dont watch the Italian league on here, the Ukers anyway. They are basing their opinions on youtube videos all of the time. Maicon is suddenly all of a sudden the best fullback in the world. Maicon? Same time last season, I hadent even heard of him.
They are both good players, but overated on here.
Cambiasso is their best player.
So because you hadn't heard of him, means he can't be any good?
He was the best right back in the world on last season's form and carried that into this season.
