Zlatan Ibrahimovic

He'll never be better than either of them.

If you think he'll be better than Messi even though Messi's been outshining him ever since two years ago while he's still 5 or 6 years younger you're the one being ignorant.

Jesus, if theres one thing you can be sure of is Never say Never. The only department where Ibra needs to improve on is in the big games in the CL. If he does this and continues putting in performances in the league then why can't he be called best player in the world?

Ibra is soon to reach his peak years and under Mourinho he seems a totally new player who is starting to fulfill his potential.

You seem to be comparing Messi and Ronaldo to Ibra in terms of their potentials which is obviously going to favour the younger two.

Spot on , Ibra can have 2,3 better seasons than Messi and Ronaldo. Never say never indeed

Ibra has the talent, he just hasn't had the mentality or the profile.

But what Zlatan can bring a team is every bit as impressive as Messi or Ronaldo.

Exactly. Technically I would put him above both. Messi obviously is the best dribbler, but what Ibra can do with the ball and sometimes with a chewing gum is quite incredible. :D

Every game i've watched Zlatan this season he has provided moments when i've been genuinely amazed. He does more spectacular things than any other player in world football. This doesn't make him the best of course but it makes him great to watch and i've been watching him for years.

Watch that.

That very much reminded me of Zidane but ZZ would do it with less effort and more grace.

dont know if this has been posted but its a great acrobatic pass from Zlatan to Maicon in the game against Lazio.

Don't worry, he doesn't turn up in the big games.

Yeah he's never had a good game against English teams. Apart from Liverpool when he was at Ajax.

Still i think under Mourinho the Italians will lose the naivety they usually have against English teams and Ibra unless injured and unless Inter go down to 10 men for the entire two games (like against Liverpool) will be a tough test for United.

Yes.

Good technique, good dribbling, can make a pass... Doesn't score, Cant head, goes missing.

3 good, 3 bad leaves him at average and thats before talking about his temper.

Don't you dare compare him with Rvn when saying he's lazy. Rvn isn't very mobile, for a player with his technical ability Zlatan should be more so. And the difference is, in every match RVN is likely to score a goal. That's why he's left on. Zlatan may or may not make a good opening. He may or may not score a goal. No comparison really.

Oh and

Thanks a lot for that mate, brings back some great memory

He has been a revelation this season. In fairness to him, he has been doing it consistently in Serie A for a number of seasons. But whenever I watched him at major tournaments for his club or country, he has flattered to deceive. I would imagine we can handle him quite well.

I think we have good chances against Inter to go through since the "italians" have no real experience of the CL, yes they have great players but I believe we're much better and Zlatan can be stopped the same way we stopped all the great players in the world

He's been a different animal under Mourinho. He tracks back, i actually seen him slide tackle someone and then out a ball through for a team mate this season.

Zlatan is bigger and stronger than Vidic and Ferdinand. He is the main threat and a big threat and he can make the difference with a pass or a goal which he has been doing all season.

Really depends on how both teams, and star players are performing when the clubs meet. Hopefully we'll have the likes of;

-----Berb-Rooney
Nani---Scholes--Ronaldo
-------Carrick
Evra-Vidic--Rio--Rafael
---------VDS

And if we managed to have that lot fit and playing to their abilitty i don't really care who inter put out againsts us.

I guess you don't know who Vidic really is

Indeed, they have him we have Vidic

... and Carrick on his toes a la Mascherano

Shouldn't be too much of a problem - they will be hard to break down but their attack can be a tad disjointed against top op. Their fullbacks can be a threat on the overlap but i should imagine they (Maxwell and Maicon) will have enough on their hands. Stankovic, Mancini and Quaresma are nothing that we cannot handle. I do worry about us not breaking them down and playing too cautiously; they could go through with a late/away goal as is customary of Mourinho's sides.

He's a brilliant defender but how often do you come up against a player who is 6ft 3 and as strong as anyone?

It's a test for Vidic, more of a test than Drogba.

True its a test. But I think Vidic's physicality is too much for any striker. Drogba who abuses pretty much every defender out there has been raped each and every time Vidic has come up against him. I think Vidic can handle Ibra but it will be a tough tough game for him IF Ibra raises his game.

I think if there has been a striker who physically put Vidic in trouble it was Drogba and I don't think Zlatan is as strong as him, technically it's another matter.
