I know right. No doubt Ibra is getting on but he's still one of the best strikers in the world. I reckon he has a couple of good seasons left in him. It would be crazy to pass up on him.Are people still opposed to signing one of the best center forwards in the world for free??
Fair enough. People who judge players on just their stats annoy me though, it's ridiculous.
Zlatan has played 180 games with PSG and I should have watched him more than 150 times in the last 4 years.I use a lot of stats because I have an analytical mind.
His stats demonstrate his consistency ans his efficiency. If someone is able to score 50 goals in a French configuration, then I think he is capable to score 30 goals (all competitions) in the UK.
He is the Super Star of the French league. Payet, Kanté, Giroud, Martial, Koescielny...have 'done nothing' in France compared to him because he has outclassed everyone.
Sure, his only one weakness is currently his limited pace.
I'm sure he will be very successful here because he is a unique player who defies the law of physics and has a destiny.
Just in case you thought otherwise, I wasn't having a go at you.
Not really having a go at the use of stats either, it's people who use stats without any context e.g. without having watched the player. There's a special place in hell for those people.
You can get away without pace when you have his class and poise. How is he going to cope with the pace of the premiership?
Teenage Zlatan - Documentary (48 min) - Swedish with English subtitles
Watched i before but here i am watching it again hehe. Wenger at 28:30 lel.

I don't get why everybody is ruling out the possibility of Woody screwing this up...?
He will probably find a way to pay PSG a feeI don't get why everybody is ruling out the possibility of Woody screwing this up...?
Nothing left to screw up mate.
Just saw this.Vardy
Lukaku
Higuain
Milik
Janssen
Ighalo
Gameiro
Slimani
Raffael (Borussia Monchengladbach)
Cavani
I'd rather take a risk on any of these 10 than Ibra - that is how little I think he will contribute to this team.
That list is only of player who I expect to be very attainable. Not to mention 2 option who would fit the bill perfectly - Kane and Aubumeyang. I know they will be almost impossible to get.

Quite a bit of talk about him not coping with Premier League - know it's few years back but he coped ok against England, whose players come from..... the Premier League. Has he lost all of that in last three years??
First goal - poacher, second goal - thump (and bends down to Cahill to say "you're a donkey"), third goal - free kick, fourth goal - simply stupendous.
A lot of the alternative strikers we could buy would have same potential issue of not playing in Premier League before, Kane will never happen and don't want Lukaku, especially for £30m plus wages.
It's been said before but getting him is a no-brainer.
But but but if we sign Zlatan what will happen to Wilson?. Wankers.I've noticed that the posters who do not want Jose do not want Ibrahimovic either. Coincidence?
IbrahimovicI'm sure he will be very successful here because he is a unique player who defies the law of physics and has a destiny.
Those who keep banging about the level of French league and how easy it is, answer this then, why hasn't any other player scored as many goals as him if it is that easy ??
Also, our best attacker this season came from that very same league. Rashford was playing for the U18s before he made the leap to the PL, if they can handle the mighty PL, why can't Ibra ??
The fact is we need another striker. We can not go into next season with just Rashford as our one option. We saw in the final that one injury to him and we had to play Young up front.
I'm against Jose but can't wait to see Ibra in a united shirt. As others have said, it is a no brainer. I'm a little surprised he isn't interested in a team in Europe.I've noticed that the posters who do not want Jose do not want Ibrahimovic either. Coincidence?
Cavani was signed for mega bucks and has been muppet material on here many times after almost cracking 30 goals in the Serie A. He plays for the same team. There has to be a reason why he hasn't had the opportunity to be the focal point up front, and the reason is Zlatan. He's still as good as they come.Well i don't know for sure but i suspect the answer to that one is two fold. No other striker in France is currently as good as Ibrahimovic but also no other striker in france plays as a focal point for by far and away the best side in the league.
I doubt other strikers in France would score 50 goals but i suspect the majority if not all of them would score a lot more if they played every game for PSG.
Poor league or not though the amount of goals he's scored this season at 34 is unbelievable.

Wow!
That's a very underwhelming list. I don't think half of them are united quality.
You're against signing the best striker PSG have but for signing someone who has looked a couple of levels comfortably below him. Also Ighalo over Ibrahimovic?
Zlatan is absolutely streets ahead of all of these.
What a weak list.
Some I haven't even heard of/seen but I love these two.
Cavani is quite evidently a far inferior footballer to Ibrahimovic. Pretty easy to tell given they play for the same team.
Ighalo
Another gem.
Oh yes, strikers like Ighalo are "proven goalscorers". Whereas Ibrahimovic ... I don't even need to make this comment look bad.
Quite embarrassing that this post just had to end up being the first on this page.
Ighalo, Gameiro, Janssen, Raffael
This is a gem of a post
Post of the year from unitedbhoy there
It isn't a simple list, it is THE list.
Just saw this.
Ibra would be a great lift for the team if we can get him. Absolute quality in an area that we lack.
I would take Ibra over all of them - by a mile.
The state of that fecking list. Lad should take himself out back and have a word with himself.
A classic post@unitedbhoy that list is daft. You'd rather take someone like Ighalo over Zlatan Ibrahimovich?

Even Lyon during the period where they steamrollered the league for almost ten years running couldn't get a striker over the 25 goal mark in the league, never mind 38. You have to go back to the 70s to find similar numbers to what Zlatan produced this year.
The gap between the big 3 in Spain and the rest of the teams in the league is similar to PSG and the rest of the French league. 27 points from Barca to Villarreal in 4th, 31 points from PSG to Lyon in 2nd. Real, Barca and PSG are almost equally dominant teams domestically, and Barca in particular play some of the best attacking football ever seen, and yet Suarez was still only two league goals ahead of Zlatan. Ballon d'Or favourite Luis Suarez, that is. Same applies for Bayern: Dortmund aside, the league is filled with fodder. Four games less than Ligue 1 and La Liga, still won with 28 points down to third-placed Leverkusen. Lewandowski managed 30 league goals.
To pull off a goalscoring masterclass like Zlatan has this season had you can't be some washed-up scrub, regardless of the league you play in. And he racks up assists too. He's easily one of the best players in the world despite his age. That's more than can be said of any of our sorry lot.
Get Zlatan and spend the transfer kitty on further strengthening the other areas of the team in dire need of revitalization, such as the central defence, central midfield and right wing and let the new and improved team feed Zlatan with chances for a couple of seasons while we win stuff. Sure sounds a hell of a lot better than choking our way to a 49-goal season again.
I've now changed my vote from no to yes, anyone that loves the Fat Phenomenon as much as I do is welcome at United. It's slightly disturbing that there are several erroneous impressions reg. Zlatan. Rashford is a Ronaldo type striker? Great:
http://www.dirtytackle.net/2014/12/01/zlatan-and-ronaldo-an-enduring-love-story/
Not a good team-mate? Yet the impression Verratti, Thiago, or Ancelotti (who managed him) give is one of mutual respect and admiration. Pity that old narratives ring loud enough to drown all of that out.
