Get Rooney of those wine adverts... we got a new star in town.

His agent wants more money, he is not getting that, I think he doesnt really want to go to china, so malmo maybe? Well his presser begins shortly, so we will know.

Haha he didn't seem to happy about the Man Utd question.

Edit: Sorry, he just said that when he's tired of the stories in the newspaper he'll let us know.

He is an attention whore. Call another press conference to say he's not retiring and not interested in throwing the journos a bone as to where he is going. A moron if I ever saw one.

So why the press conference?

According to the Swedish press officer it wasn't out of the ordinary after all. Just standard procedure when it comes to him. Doesn't do daily one-on-one-interviews, unlike his teammates when with the national team.

Seems like they didn't want English or foreign media asking questions about his future like last time, so they delayed informing about the time and place this time around.

That was pretty uninspiring stuff anyway. Just answering toothless questions from the Swedish media on autopilot. I guess their afraid of pissing him of but asking about he'll think he'll play football next season?! Jeeeez...

Only highlight was when he dismissed the idea of him going back to Malmö FF: «Still not interested. I'm too good for the Swedish premier division.»

About moving to Malmö FF: "I'm too good for the league. But if I were to go to Malmö, Daniel (the DoF) won't have to worry; I'll make my own budget."

So It won't happen this transfer at least.

Holding my thumbs for Utd then!

I'm a bit bored of this already, I hope he joins us and all but this whole dragging out the saga is so tedious for the fans.

Why do you need to follow the "saga"?

When he is tired of all the stories he will let us know where he will go. Just said it in press conference.

You'd have to say this whole "I've made up my mind but I'm not telling anyone" thing is a bit primary school-like attention seeking.

He can take his ego and go wherever else. I'm really not bothered about him coming here.

Fair enough. But to be fair to Zlatan as well: It wasn't a press conference at his request but because he's got media obligations as national team captain. He seemed rather annoyed being "forced" to sit there and answer dull questions.

So you don't think it would be extremely unprofessional of him to announce a club before signing any deal, then?

A lot of people in here are creating a storm to satisfy their own patience, or lack thereof.

The malmo comment rules out MLS and china.

Hes going to milk this throughout the Euros.

So Zlatan is calling press conferences where normal mortal beings would post a Facebook update, and the journalists show up. Because he's a roman emperor or something.

"Hmm, it's sunny today .... let's call a press conference to tell the world about it!"

"I'm gonna take a photo of my food and call a press conference to share it!"

"I'll put on the .... blue pants today. Time for a presser."

Did he call another press conference to troll everyone?

Zlatan deeply hates journalists for many reasons and probably the Dutch & French ones especially. A deep contempt for them.

99% of the players are available for journalists. Journalists have to be available for him.

For instance, he generally never takes part in the before-games press conferences with PSG.

He did it one time this season before the 2nd leg against Chelsea because he did want to send the following message 'I am open to a challenge in the EPL'.

If you are bored of this, you are the type of person who he's doing this for. I'm not really bothered, and seems the press aren't either since stories involving him aren't getting much hits now either. He's signed or just waiting on someone else to usurp it....and he seems to want an English title+maybe CL.....but Chelsea are legit the only other team I could see even wanting him, well Arsenal except the history there.
