Rooney out, Zlatan in, Mourinho in, Mahrez in = title challenge.
We aren't talking about getting Wayne Rooney here, Zlatan is legitimately one of the best players in the world. No, thanx. We already have a overrated, overpaid, past his prime striker, we don't need another one.
Is no one here concerned about his age?

Coz we dont want to have two 300k/pw billsNo idea why people are saying that we should offload Rooney and bring in Ibra, as the little taco lady says "Why not both?!"
We had four last year!Coz we dont want to have two 300k/pw bills
And no one should forget that if we happen to sign him, he comes with his mad antics. English clubs (like Utd) and the media talk a lot about tradition and values. Ibra doesn't give a rat's a** about such stuff

This
People still talk about him like he's 25! I suppose he could do a job for a season. Thats very short term thinking
I think we need a short term boost.
We have a number of players 24 and under and too much weight is being put on there shoulders. Let somebody take the burden for 1-2 years and see how Martial, Deepay and co play when they are not the main attacking weapon.
Succinct. So hypothetically we go in with a 35yo Ibrahimovic leading the line, James Wilson as backup, Martial as the utility (that will play on the left in front of most players in our squad anyway) and Marcus Rashford/Ash Fletcher as the emerging talents.Because rooney is shit.
Get ibra in for a year or two, by then would know better if any of our academy strikers are ready to take the mantle. Otherwise, sign the next big thing.

Call me paranoid but that would probably cement a brace of really poor decisions regarding the front line in consecutive seasons.
He's never played in the Premiership and he's 35 in October. As far as I am concerned your idea is a bit out there, to say the least.Yeah, unless you dont have any long-term plans for depay. In which case sell him and get someone better on the LW. As it is martial/depay/ibra are going to share the striker and left wing position. I think that should be enough for the season as ibra has a good injury track record.

Anyone disapproving a potential signing of Zlatan is a mentalist that rarely watches him play. It's such a no-brainer for a season or two. He. Wins. Leagues.

He won :
Ajax (Eredivisie) - 2001-2, 2003-4
Juventus (Serie A) - 2004-5 2005-6
Inter Milan (Serie A) - 2006-7, 2007-8, 2008-9
Barca (La Liga) - 2009-10
AC Milan (Serie A) - 2010-11
PSG (Ligue 1) - 2012-3, 2013-14, 2014-15
He really could be the modern day Cantona, I truly believe that. At 34/35 he is still very fit and has looked after his body, he seems more like a early 30's player. I think he would relish the challenge of playing in England before he retires. We could offer him 1 last bumper contract and he would enjoy it with Mourinho in charge. It has been spoken many times on this forum this season about lack of leadership and determination on the pitch. Ibra has an aura about him and that will resonate around the club especially with the younger players, if we can get him on the right type of contract, ideally 1 year with an option for an extension then it would be stupid not to sign him.
He would guarantee goals by the bucketload and will improve our play massively. Also he always wins the league with new clubs.
Not if we manage to ship out Rooney, and get someone like Griezmann who can play both as a winger and CF. And Maybe Mahrez too.Succinct. Martial would be Ibrahimovic's backup, with Depay coming in as Martial's backup on the left wing. And it's also important that we sign a good right wing player, preferably one who could also play up front if needed. James Wilson doesn't need to be in the conversation at all, Rashford has shown more so far in his limited time than Wilson. Ibrahimovic signs a 1 year deal here before he leaves for Beckham's MLS franchise. It gives our young attacking players another good year of development but unlike this season, we wouldn't need to rely on our young players (like Martial) as Ibrahimovic would be the main attacking threat. It's a good solution because it works in the short term without hurting the development of our young players.Succinct.
