Zlatan Ibrahimovic | Rises a day early

some will even justify this, because it's Zlatan, like little kids really:wenger: never understood why he got so much love. Actually enjoyed his time here but he's been a professional footballer, still paid good money in LA, at least don't let your team down doing something stupid like this and save the fun after the game on your social media, this is not fun, just frustration..

Clip round the ear more like

Unacceptable on the pitch but not enough for a grown man to go down about. I know why they do it, it's just annoying!

Yeh pathetic.
I was suplexing my kids earlier and they were Laughing.

A 36 year old 6'5'' slapping another player's face like that and then going down while the other player also goes down with a delayed reaction after realizing that he's been slapped, both rolling on the ground.

Really gives football a negative image to the Americans, many of whom use diving as an example of why they dislike football.

Pair of twats going down like they’ve been shot, really puts you off football. And Zlatan is meant to be some sort of hard man, but needs help to limp off the pitch after his toes get stepped on, Christ.

I was watching the game and it didnt look like he was faking the injury, was helped of and down the tunnel
Isn't he a high belt in some form of martial arts  yes somebody treading on your toe can hurt but he's not bloody injured, his toes/feet must be hard as steel after all that football.

He's faked it clear and simple.

Indeed, he is such a clown. Nowhere near Messi and Ronaldo as a player but acts like he is the most special athlete in the world.

Zlatan is a legend, I don't think people outside of Sweden realise how important he is for us. Especially young people with foreign backgrounds, we connect with him on a different level. It's like one of us made it.

It is not a coincidence Sweden is making a huge run without him, and they look much more coordinated without the egomaniac.

I know the competition is weaker than most leagues in Europe, but the goals he is scoring over there are not easy. He is making volley shots look like another-day-at-the-office shots. Like tonight, with the left foot and all.

Watching Berg play upfront is a dire watching for all mankind. But I agree with you on this, they look like a well drilled unit and will work really hard for each other.

Glad he's doing well and the injury didn't finish him. Still, it's a league where Bradley Wright Phillips is a star player. They're not easy goals, I agree, but he's doing it against much weaker defences. The mismatch in size between him and whoever is marking him is enormous. It looks like he's fending off a child.

It's a shame he couldn't stay to end this season with us, he could have been valuable if he was on top form, but glad he's still playing and scoring.

Funny on several accounts
1, Ibra goes to ground for no apparent reason
2, Ibra slaps the dude, like it's normal behaviour. If it weren't on the pitch, and it was caught on film, Ibra would get sued.
3, When the player gets slapped, he collapses to the ground like his face has been cut by a knife.
4, When both players go to ground, they go to ground at exactly the same time, in perfect sync. It's almost as if it were rehearsed. In fact, had it been rehearsed, I don't believe they'd have synchronised the collapse to the ground, so perfectly.
5, It appears that it took Ibra quite some time to recover, after going to ground for no reason.

Ibra should be carded for that.

He made the right move really. Much less pressure and he can enjoy himself.

Not sure what his GS record is like out there, but he seems to be scoring some sexy goals. Nice to see it's going alright for him.

Well yeah but if you sprinted across the road and slide tackled a random bloke you'd probably get sued for that too.

What he is doing now is definitely against weaker defence, but it reminds me of what fantastic goals he was doing week after week in France. Volley shots with both left and right foot and pushing of defenders have always been some of his strengths, and I guess those abilities don’t go away with age.

He has never been the best player in the world, but I don’t know anyone else who has mass produced amazing and beautiful unexpected goals at the highest level. Maybe Ronaldinho but not over that many years. Of course it is very subjective and I can admit that living in Malmö, I have been a huge fan of him since I saw him the first time in the late 90s. With him anything can happen and very often “the anything” did happen. So many beautiful goals

Wiki says he's got 10 in 13. Of course that could be wildly inaccurate.

He's doing better than Gerrard. Still has some way to go to reach Beckham levels though.

“You can take the guy from the ghetto but not the ghetto from the guy”

Legend

I admittedly know very little of the "ghetto" but I can't help but assume that it is long behind him if that sorry slap/dive performance is anything to go by. Calls himself a lion but here he is going down like Nani in that head butt fiasco 10 years ago.

You need to say 10 Hail Ibras and 10 Our Zlatans to atone for what you just posted.

It actually looks like he hit the form again. To be fair, he hasn't been good at all since his injury, but now. He looks sharp again:

I'm just here to say I love Zlatan. It's so nice to hear him talking so fondly of United despite being here for such a short time. How I wish we had signed him a few years earlier.

Agreed. I do miss the magnificent bastard.... just having him around was great.

It's incredible that he has such a strong attachment to the club despite being here for so little time. For someone that's been and done it all to find that sort of attachment while younger players take the club for granted says it all about his attitude.

More like experience. He has been through different circumstances/ clubs's fanbase. Young players didn't know what fans of other clubs would do to their own players when shite hit the fan.

He was just what United needed: a cocky bastard who also know how to play the game. I think his influence on Pogba should not be underestimated, probably saved him from a lot of pressure after that expensive signing.
