Laughing stock? We're the biggest club in England by far. Everyone is playing catch up with us.

We will in NO WAY be a laughing stock. Give whoever it is a chance FFS.

People are doubting Moyes credentials. What's the big deal?

What if it's not Mourinho or Moyes, but Mourinho and Moyes.

No CL experience, nothing won at all, hasnt worked with a single player Id consider United quality apart from maybe Baines

And in his 11 years at Everton hasn't win a single away game at arsenal, Chelsea, united or Liverpool. Not one in 11 years. I don't care how irrelevant people think that stat is. That doesn't scream "winner" to me at all, but the club seem to be valuing stability over success in this appointment and I'm sure we will ALL get behind whoever the new manager is.

Klopp would be an exciting option, Moyes would be underwhelming. Moyes has done an excellent job but I wouldn't know what to expect and he wouldn't have as much leeway as say a Mourinho or Klopp. I'll fully back whoever they choose.

Just 8% of the Caf would be happy with the way things stand right now.

Quick fix?

I wasn't aware anything was broken.

What on earth do they mean by that statement?

Its meaningless, but they now have 48 hours or so to fill with news about manchester united, so they just spout bollocks, which the window lickers in here are lapping up as every little thing is posted a dozen times,

May as well post what kim fecking kardashians view on the subject is for all the relevance they actually have.

Well at least we agree Rooney isn't Utd quality :angel:

Fair enough. It was only 2 years but you are right. Was more thinking.off Gill talking about how the new manager might want to bring.some players with him. Well and I don't think their current team has anyone in therw thats good enough to improve us

He's performed excellently at Everton with the squad he's got and is probably a bit unlucky not to win anything with them. He's a good choice and will have the chance to prove himself at a top top level and we should allow him the time to do that.

I think we've all got to accept that now Sir Alex has gone there will likely be a period of instability and people should understand that finding a new manager to deliver continued success might not happen overnight.

We'll know in the next 48 hours and I just hope people can start to show some restraint and not embarrass themselves, the site and United fans in general.

Everton play such shit football under Moyes. I honestly wouldn't want to see that kind of football at United.

Mourinho would be the best short term choice. In terms of handling the pressure at least.

However I think David Moyes would be more likely to want to continue Fergie's work. Better transition and long-term prospect.

People need to stop acting as if Moyes plays negative football all the time. Everton are fecked financially and still Moyes keeps them in top7 comfortably.

He wouldn't be my first choice but he'll be ok here.

Do they? I've not seen much of Everton this season but i've read many a time people on here praising some of their 'sexy' play. If you've watched them though, you'd know better then me of course.

I can imagine us as a glorified Everton in 5 years time. Solid, tough to beat, hard working British players, boring-ish football etc.

Not exactly a bad thing, but not what I want :(

I hope they also remember that we don't play great football all the time.

They played far better football than us on the first day of this season thats for sure.

Is that really good enough though?

You could name any number of managers who would be alright, but I don't thing alright is good enough for United.
