Your Hidden Gems or under the radar - Wanted Signings

Think Bilal El Khanouss would be a very good signing if Leicester go down. He starts every week under Ruud and was very positive in those games against united i believe. Mobile midfielder, a winner/leader as well. Reminds me of Tielemans stylisticly.

Pepelu and Javi Guerra from Valencia. Valencia are likely going down so might as well scoop them for a cut price.

Nathaniel Brown, left wingback at Eintracht Frankfurt with 3 goals, 3 assists, loves a tackle and has a bit of speed down the wing. Think he's the best pick for a left wingback that isnt at a top club

Good call. He really is having his break through season in Frankfurt (just like Collins on the right, if you are looking for that wing).

During the summer full backs were seen as a big weakness for Frankfurt, that perception has completely changed.

Guerra I was hearing a lot of hype about few seasons back. Don't know Pepelu well. Valencia academy is underrated. Be a shame if they did go down. Easily one of Spains top 5 clubs.

Aye, there's no denying his talent, seems like he's been around for ages but is still only 21. Thinks there's a lot of other bullshit and friction at Lyon too, they have or had Lacazette back as captain and he's susspedly been a total let down in the leadership department, which is hardly a surprise. So, Cherki has apparently tried and step up to be a leader, which has caused tension because he's seemingly young, smug and not very likeable.

There's probably two ways it could go.

He could be a bit of a Ben Arfa type, a total knobhead with all the talent none of the application or interest. Who will just bounce around loads of clubs and end back at Lyon in a few years.

On the other hand if someone could reign him in and get him onside, he could be what Chelsea had in Hazard for a few years. Before he threw his arse at it with Madrid.

If reports that he's available for around 20m are true, he could be worth a punt. Even if he's a massive tool and you want to boot him out, you wouldn't be out that much.

It’s really a shame where Valencia are these days. Prior to Cholo coming to Atletico Valencia were the “best of the rest” after Real Madrid and Spain, now they’re so far off it.

Yep, we need more a**holes with a bad attitude.
Think at that fee, it'd be well worth the punt because he's one of the few pre-peak and non-teenage players not already at a top club that could conceivably develop into the best player in the league. At that price, and as long as the wages weren't ridiculous, it would be easy to shift him to another club/Saudi if things go belly up.

Lyon's US owner had some tweets to another owner leaked recently referring to Cherki by saying that he's not a bad kid personally (but added that his entourage were assholes).

Good shout.

Ndiaye from Everton could be a shrewd signing, I think. He's got more to come I think, but his attitude and application is top notch. Great goal today as well.

I agree but Everton paid £15m for him and he's under contract until 2029. They'd want huge money.

Colleague of mine works primarily on Portuguese football and he's been really pushing Mannu (remove one n - autofilter keeps correcting it to Man Utd) from Vitoria. Hyping him as, at worst, a William Carvalho type midfielder. At best, Portugal's Poundland Rodri.

He's so under the radar that he doesn't even have a YouTube comp. Statistically he does look very interesting. Sky high defensive numbers while also being a really progressive passer. Also has one of the best aerial duel win % AND aerial duels contested of any midfielder in Europe. On the other hand, he's already 23 and still at Vitoria so who knows.

Would be nice to get a very physically imposing, aerially dominant midfielder for peanuts.

There's a video now.

In the time since I posted he went from Unknown > Signing for Wolves for £8m > Wolves move collapses at the last second after Benifca hijack.

Neither are playing all that well, but Pepelu was a good DM last season and is good at taking set pieces. He sets up a lot of shots crossing from corners and set pieces but Valencia rarely convert them into goals so he ended up with 1 assist despite 30 key passes from crosses, 15 of them from corners. 9 more key passes came from freekicks and then 20 from open play passing in general.

Guerra wasnt that good last season but did still get 4 goals contributing to a lo scoring team, and he hasnt been good this season either. But the difference is hes 21 so its more understandable that he's not doing well

Lyon CEO has been badmouthing him. I would take it with a pinch of salt.

Apparently, he is available for 22.5m. I do think he is the level of player that can change our fortunes and worth that level of financial risk.

Talent wise he’s excellent. Would need to adjust his personality somewhat. I’ve no idea if he’d fit into Amorim’s work ethic, surprised Chelsea aren’t going all out for him.
Anyone care to explain why he’s kinda stalled at Lyon?

Maybe, but I think they'd want less than for say, Branthwaite.
I love Branthwaite and rate him quite highly but we have been crying out for someone like Ndiaye for so long that I would flat out refuse to sell him.

Dare I say it's easier to replace a Branthwaite at our level than an Ndiaye too.

I agree, but I think clubs see players like him as "sellable assets". Was talking to my brother in law about whoever comes in next, they will take him to another level - given I didn't expect it to be Moyes, but I still think that holds true.

I saw your original post and statistically he does look interesting. Very frustrating we’re never able to make moves like this, as he’ll have a good 6 months at Benfica and suddenly be valued at £50m.

Same story with Caicedo and same with Baleba (who we were also scouting when Brighton signed him), and that’s just DM’s in recent years.

I think it will all depend on how we do as a club. If we end up moving forward and up the league I think he has a good chance to stay and we will be in a position that Brighton/Brentford etc. are with their best talents.

This one really looks like a player suited to the thread title. A bit disappointed that we are missing out since Ruben should have known about him, no? If he does well, he'll gona end up the next Joao Neves.

An interesting player for a 10 role/Second Striker is Eli Junior Krupi of Lorient. Brilliant young player and be a better fit for the 10 than Garnacho, if we do decide to sell him to Napoli. He can also play as a 9 in later years when he gets older and fills out. Reminds me of Mathys Tel

Yes! I've mentioned him before too. Would love to see Nice buy him this summer with a view of Utd taking him in a couple years or something. He's still super young but has bags of potential, and would suit Amorim's system as a 10 but also someone who could deputise as a 9 when needed.

Yeah, Lorient are skint so we could easily buy him then loan him to Nice next season or bring him into the squad and drip feed him minutes. He has a higher world class potential than Garnacho for example and if we make a move like this then the Garnacho sale makes sense. We buy a LAM who can contribute now, like Cunha and then get Kroupi in the summer for the future.

I've also been looking at Hugo Eketike, who is a very similar player to Isak, stylistically. Has a similar build and all round game, rebuilding his career at Frankfurt. He is also one we should be watching as I can see a club like Villa or Newcastle get him and he does well in the PL.

I've been watching this left back from Lecce for a few months now cause my old head teachers best mates car was Italian.

He's called Paul drago I think and he's absolutely electric. 50m player easy

That won't happen. Ekitike would be a 100m+ transfer if it happened in the summer, simply because Frankfurt can afford to demand that after selling Marmoush to City and Ekitike being his designated replacement to lead Frankfurt's line.

Kevin Lopes. Plays for Shaktar on the left wing and been excellent.

Was one of the best young talents in Brazil when they signed him and he's looked great in games vs champions league opposition.

Having not been too convinced by the left backs/WBs we've been linked with (Dorgu, Alvaro, Ait Nouri, Kerkez) because of price, physicality, technicality etc, I've been looking for other potential options and am really intrigued by the Monaco full back, Kassouem Ouattara. Not exactly sure if he's used to playing at Wingback both he's got a really good cross on him from what I've seen, wins all his headers and is a strong ball carrier. Haven't really heard his name on here before so thought I'd throw it in the mix.
