Yann M’Vila

It's funny to hear Harry being so candid about QPR being a stepping stone for M'Vila, it's really refreshing (cos let's face it, that's all QPR will be for M'Vila if he fulfills his potential).

Agree with you Castia, it's not only the quality in players, it's what they're targetting: Hughes, when given money, went for has been once great players (probably thinking there wasn't much risk there), whereas Harry is targetting players that probably representing a greater risk (Rémy could do well or could fail, there's still doubts with M'Vila...) but with undoubtetly more desire to shine. Players that don't see the 'project' just as a last hefty meal ticket, but as a real challenge and a chance for them to show themselves to the world.

Harry's most probably not the best manager tactics wise, and I wouldn't want him anywhere near the job after SAF steps down, but there's a certain logic to what he does and I think they might have a chance to avoid the relegation drop with him at the helm of the team.

Mbia and Mvila in midfield for QPR!

If they add a quality winger now I can see them staying up.

Smart move from 'arry. Have heard more about M'Vila's attitude problems the past year than his footballing progress. The PL is a bigger stage to play on and it will do him good if he get his head sorted. There's obviously something that's putting off the big clubs from signing him. Maybe something along the lines of how he'll behave with not having a guaranteed spot in the starting lineup, something that no big team really promises.

I imagine this move will enable him to use Mbia as a center back like he often played with Marseille. Their squad seems kind of big now. They're a beach of a club. Too much deadwood. 7 forwards now. Players like DJ Campbell, Zamora and Andy Johnson. Lot of wages going towards nothing. Mark Hughes really shouldn't get a gig at a club again with any kind of money.

Agree 100% Castia, he's still so young, I think he can revive his career away from France and the crazy pressure he was under every week.
These problematic cases often need a big change of scenery to reinvent themselves

Which won't stop Redknapp fighting and refusing to sell him in a couple of years if one of the big guns does come knocking.

Arry 's peaking to early ,he'll have nothing to talk about on Transfer Day.

Well of course, and QPR will get 20M out of him, but all is fair in business.

I'm sure he'll manage to drive past Skysports cameras with his window open about 15 times on Transfer Deadline Day nonetheless!

QPR will have one of the highest wage bills in the league if they pull all those transfers through, definitely higher than any other team that's not City, Chelsea, United, Arsenal or Liverpool, possibly even higher than Spurs. It's pretty stupid considering they'll go down anyway unless a miracle happens.

Say what you want about the money at QPR, but the way 'Arry made exactly the same players that Hughes had play against Spurs the other day was outstanding. It may have been a drab game, but they gave absolutely everything for Redknapp in that match. Whereas under Hughes (a manager that you would expect to instil some fight into his players), they looked spineless.

If you can combine that industry with a couple of decent signings, they may have a chance of staying up. Even if their points total to date is abyssmal.

The trick, if 'Arry can do it, is to get them playing well with three in midfield: M'Vila, Mbia and Granero. Remy ahead of them and a couple of defensive signings and they would have a chance. But getting all of those players to gel is a big ask.

Smart move for him, it's not just showcasing his ability but his willingness to leave the bullshit aside, roll up his sleeves and face a relegation dogfight with a side others wouldn't deem "worthy". If I were SAF or Wenger, having had doubts before, it would keep me interested in his progress.

7M is a steal for him. He is good enough to play for almost every team in the country. I know about of his attitude, so if he improve it then two years for now he could be sold for double or treble what he cost. Good move from Arry.

Its a weird deal, but still a win-win for both parties involved. While QPR get a good player as compared to the dross that they have, it might just help them eke out results against their relative opposition. On the other hand, M'Vila gets a chance to get out of France, have a good shot at his career again, and will look to impress the bigger teams again who were in for him initially.

Isn't Mbia normally a CB?

RB-CB-Mbia-Fabio
M'Vila-Granero

with Remy and Taraabt ahead of them is a good team. Good enough to avoid relegation. They just need a good CB.

They need him at CB more. Their defense is pretty bad plus they've got Granero and M'villa in midfield now along with a few other options.

2 wingers are solid too and the 2 fullbacks are decent to good.

WAT?! They have salt of the Earth, shit but tries hard, will die for the team Clint Hill!

People moan about Harry but look who he's brought in in his first transfer window compared to the sack of shite Hughes brought in.

Did city ever flog the dross that he signed on enormous wages?

I've heard Harry is now excited about a player he's seen on the telly, and is preparing a bid for M'Danone.

He is naturally a midfielder.

Well I don't know what you mean by 'naturally', he reckons he's a midfielder though.

Never really understood that with him.His coaches tell him he's better in the back four (specially CB) but that idiot always think he's some sort genius midfielder

Don't understand it either, it's obvious he hasn't got the qualities to become a top midfielder, and he does well at the back, yet seems convinced he's a CM. A bit of an idiot as I said.

He's crap in midfield and good in defence, I'd say he's a natural defender who pretends to be a midfielder.

Basically, this.

We call that the Gary Beckham syndrome, in honour of Gary Caldwell's penchant for hollywood passes out of defence, usually with calamitous consequences.

You would think as pros they would realize what they can and cannot do.It's a childish behavior to wanna play in a certain position whereas the player is better somewhere else. This is highly competitive football, not a friendly with neighborhood buddies

He should join QPR, i am sure he could get a cause in his contract to leave if they get relegated or if certain clubs come in for him for in the future, doubt he will get that at somewhere like Everton.

Just looked at QPR's squad, they seriously need to trim it down, they have 8 strikers on their books.

Well he does seem to have even more money than even Hughes had.

It's ridiculous because he'll be hailed as a genius when they stay up despite the fact they'll have a wage bill that should have them in Europe, more money than any other club around them, and just throw money at players till they get enough good ones in the squad.

Makes a complete mockery of the league. Ultimately good scouting and smart transfers mean sweet FA because somewhere down the line, QPR who have done nothing in recent history will strike right and overtake every decent hard working club in the league. Just like City. It'll eventually be the stage where the premier league is just 20 teams who are heavily bankrolled by their owner, no space for teams who try and do it right.

I think Spurs might do well to nick him away. Parker is getting old and Sandro has injury issues. He will fit in well there next to Dembele.
