If we plan on playing with wingers, we should go for him. Titles are won on squads. Not every damn signing has to be a 30mil star. At the prices being thrown about, we wont get half as good players.

I think he would be the type of player that would be excellent for Liverpool, so anywhere but to that club please.
I thought it seemed pretty cheap as well. A few people seem to think he's very good. I can't say i've seen much of him to make a judgment.

normally I would say worth a try, as he is a good player who just has too big names ahead of him in the pecking order at Bayern. But we can't give Januzaj enough game time so why sign another player for similar positions?

Nah Allegri plays with 4-3-1-2. It looks like they are bringing in Sneijder to be the advanced playmaker.

German media are reporting that the deal with Inter is basically done. Shaqiri didn't train with the team today and Bild is reporting a fee of €18m. That would be more than I expected actually, good deal for us, if true.

I don't like Balotelli in the game, think Sturridge in the middle as a false 9 with Sterling and Shaqiri on the wings would be incredible, Coutinho behind them Alternatively you could play 4231 with Balotelli up front and the three of them behind him but there'd be no place for Coutinho.

A very good player. Just 23. Nearly a scorer in 2 games for us. He probably isnt of the highest talent level, but we are talking players like Ribery in that class.

Shaqiri lacks especially the match intelligence for a positional match in the Guardiola system. He runs wrongly, positions wrongly, passes too late, dribbles when he should pass, passes when he should not... - that is why he got less and less match time in Munich.
In a less difficult match plan where you do not need that tactical understanding he might do fine.
The italian media says that Liverpool was in the mix and offered more than 20 million EUR. But Shaqiri wanted to go to Inter. The media talks about loan until end of the season but a fixed transfer in the summer for 18 million EUR. For a bench player that recently was not of much value for Bayern that is a good price especially as they bought him cheaper.

Should be interesting who out of Podolski and Shaqiri they'll register for the Europa League. As far as I know, they can add only one new signing that played in one of the UEFA competitions for a different club this season.
Haven't seen a great deal of him at Bayern but I remember him causing us all sorts of trouble whilst at Basel. He undoubtedly has talent hence why Bayern brought him in the first place, worth a cheeky bid come summer seeing as our wingers aren't great right now?
Everytime I've watched him (not that often) he's looked quite talented, I'm surprised he's picked Inter over the PL and Liverpool, but quietly happy about it.

Weird choice to go to Inter. They're in freaking 11th. Their midfield sounds okay going forward with Medel holding, Hernanes and Kovacic providing creativity from the middle and Shaqiri on one side and Icardi up front seems alright. Big hole on the other wing and the defenders don't seem to be too great.
If he had to go to Italy, Roma would have made more sense but they spent that money/spot on Iturbe I guess.
