Don’t think our postal service got it in time. Tracking number still not live so doubt it made the sorting office cut off. Tomorrow it is

People on resetera saying they got emails on Sunday saying it’s guaranteed for release and today just now saying it’s delayed and will be shipping today for tomorrow delivery. So it depends on your fulfilment centre. So they have the stock, but didn’t bother shipping it because why ship it today on release date?

I am talking about UK you muppet. Amazon have delayed people’s console with a day or two and it’s stuck on preparing for dispatch. So that means they have the stock, but they messed up with the distribution.

Ordered two, one from amazon. Got emailed saying it will arrive on release day then it got dispatched at midnight. Now saying it’ll arrive tomorrow. Ridiculous really.
My UPS has gone from midday tomorrow to 'end of day' tomorrow. Not a good trend.

I can click and collect a series S from Asda, but that's purely due to not expecting to get a PS5 on release. Should probably just wait, but not having a new console is going to be shit

Fecking John Lewis!! I was waiting ready for the new stock to become available at 8am and as soon as the clock strikes 8 I refresh and the page crashes instantly. Finally get on a minute or 2 later and click add to basket which all I get is a spinning loading circle but never actually adds it to basket, happened to me about 10 times before eventually loading the page to be greeted with a out of stock message. Thanks for nothing you cnuts!!

Amazon emailed me Sunday to say it will be delivered release day. Just now they’ve emailed saying sorry for the delay, it’ll be dispatched within 24 hours. Order still says delivery by 10pm today, which seems unlikely to me.

I am in Dubai and was told mine would be shipped before 4pm today, phoned up because there was notification it had been sent. Was told they had yet to receive the stock but were expecting it after 5 and I would receive it this evening. I am not confident I will get it today - put it like that. Funny how there were no problems when they were taking my cash.

Walked to my local Game and picked mine up after paying for it last week. Three people there, all way more than 2m socially distanced, didn’t even go in the store, they brought it out to me. Was there possibly 30 seconds. Pretty pleased I did it this way in the end after being quite anxious about picking it up in a pandemic/ lockdown

GAME are usually pretty solid, my local store does midnight releases too. If it wasn’t for lockdown they would have been open last night.

To update, they said this - "I've checked and can see that the carrier has updated us to say that they have your package but there will be a delay delivering it to you as it has arrived at an incorrect carrier facility"

Issues for a console that has literally only just come out?
I’ve never had a good experience with Amazon for release day stuff.
Ooof I've had this before numerous times lately.
It either means there's multiple delivery warehouses near you and they've sent it to the wrong one which means it won't be coming today (as they flat out refuse to send it out from there again, it'll likely go back and be rescheduled) or they don't actually know where it has gone.
Fingers firmly crossed your experience will be different mate, it really sucks when this happens.
