The "Revisionism" (is that a new word you heard around the office this week btw?) is that it was ever as groundbreaking as people like you claim now. It's only because they've been clever about keeping it in the conscience and selling it over and over that keeps it in the memory.

This trailer looks alright but I don't massively trust Don't Nod. They're games tend to fall too much on the melodrama side for my blood.

I really liked Remember Me and Life is Strange 1, but it's been downhill since then. LiS 2 wasn't great and Vampyr, while intriguing, sort of sucked.

I'm not expecting much from the story to be fair. More the simulation sandbox and exploration.

And hoping they've got better side quests than standard fetch ones.

That'll be a shame, but I get it if that's what they're going for. Hopefully it'll have both.

I really liked Remember Me and Life is Strange 1, but it's been downhill since then. LiS 2 wasn't great and Vampyr, while intriguing, sort of sucked.

Completely forgot about Remember Me. It wasn't great but had some nice ideas. Vampyr was rubbish.

I think you'd like it. Very immersive and most of the jank has gone now. It's a big explorable world / city with a decent core plot, and average mechanics.

My lord, the shooting looks just as stale as before even in a cgi video.

If they muse persist, they really should concentrate on a sequel and delivering the game they showed off.

They announced loads of stuff up front back in 2020 so wouldnt expect much/anything. Only big studio that we don't really know what they are upto is ID Software.

Capcom have been smashing it for a while now. It's nice to see new stuff that looks interesting from them!
