I preloaded Stalker 2, a few days ago. It was massive - 140gb. Now, today it wants another update. The update size? 139gb!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to trying it . I want to like it after all the devs have been through, but I'm doubtful I will. From the little I've seen I don't think it's my cup of tea, but it's on GP so, I'll give it a go.

Anyone else checking it out?

The feck! I was looking forward to playing it, just finished Walking Dead series so have to start a new game, but I'll have to clean up my drive to download Stalker

Sounds like Indiana Jones is good. Think I'll be resubscribing to Game Pass for December.
I was gonna pass on it because I left behind my Indiana Jones interest when I became an adult, but I'm intrigued now as it is getting a really positive buzz.

MattyPlays on Youtube said it feels more like Dishonored than anything else....that very much piques my interest.

I finished up Indy and it's a pretty good!

I would say it took me 15-17 hours to finish. I did a handful of side stuff. But aside from that i mainlined it. It's a decent size game.

The decision to not make this an action game or even a fps is a smart one. It helps the game stand out and is fitting for the IP.

I do wish I enjoyed the stealth mechanics more than I did. Same for the climbing.

The writing in the game, and especially when it comes to indy, himself is on point. Really spot on. This scene is a good example of what I mean (Spoiler, I guess for side mission).

Unreservedly recommending Indiana Jones. It’s brilliant.
Excellent news.

Finally got around to finishing Hellblade 2 (after just finishing Indy). Fecking hell, what a ride. A short ride, but a memorable one.

The graphics are ofcourse spectacular, best graphics I've seen in a video game (though I'm not someone who plays a lot of games). Loved the battle set-pieces since the choreography, graphics and, most of all, music made it a great combination to play through. The music with the first giant fight was also amazing, added to the emotional context of it.

While the game is short, I'm sort of thankful it is given how mentally stressful it can be with some of the levels and the constant voices in your ears. The first half especially is intense, especially the cave, but it does ease up in the second half.

Given the length of the game, I understand why people would be annoyed at having to pay full price for it. It's a definite playthrough on gamepass though.

EDIT - Would be good if they could transition to a model where a MS Games-only Game Pass sub is available on the PS Store moving forwards, otherwise, I'm not sure how it's going to work out for them.
Not going to happen, at least not day one MS games anyway. PlayStation has Ubi+ Classics and EA Play, neither of which offer day one games. Besides, I think MS would prefer selling the games at full price on other platforms. Part of the reason they've done this multiplatform pivot is because Game Pass alone wasn't enough

I know its game of the year, but why couldn't I enjoy Indiana Jones? I mean the story is nice, but the game feels slow for me. I am still in Egypt, so probably in the beginning.

It’s game of which year?

Aye you're just incapable of enjoying good things?

I've heard it happens to people.

So it's me

Highly possible.

Seriously I can understand why someone wouldn't like it. I've never much enjoyed stealth games, so the large quantity of it in this game has taken some getting used to. To me, I was hoping there'd be a couple more set piece moments, but overall I've enjoyed it a lot.

It's fun, I liked the fighting mechanics, puzzles and the story, comedic moments hit right as well. Not the most fun I've had on an Series X game though, that's definitely still Hi-Fi Rush and Halo Infinite.

That being said, I found it really weird that it in the Vatican level you're there opening massive secret entrances and it catches none of the soldiers attention

Is it wired only?
It was when I bought mine, think there's more versions now though, might be a wireless option but unsure

I think it's the hall triggers and sticks that stop the drift as there's no wear, so likely there's other brands too.

I'd normally get sticky face buttons here and there also but so far this one has been bullet proof all round and I'm an extremely heavy user

Finished Indy, what a fun game that was. The best setting was The Vatican for me, but the set piece moments were great fun and it just felt like a great extension of the Indy universe. A few minor moments were daft (most notably the KARA-TE bit towards the end) but I thoroughly enjoyed the game, it really got into what makes the classic Indiana Jones films so enjoyable.

Now all set for Avowed tomorrow.
