If nothing else he provides ample content for those that think judging strikers purely by goals is foolish.
Give me a couple of examples who are somewhat attainable? Surely there can't be more than one or two available and half a dozen total.
Honestly think he'd be a 100m+ player if he could finish.
4 tackles, 5 aerials won, and one key pass.
He’s a big dog
Not a ‘big dawg’ I mean like literally a dog. Cos his pressing and energy is crucial to a Ten Hag side, but as he can do literally nothing else, everything he achieves could probably be replicated by just having a big dog on the pitch.
I remember ETH once played Maguire as a striker for us, maybe thats where the idea came from.Seen the term defensive striker before and feel it fits him perfectly, he defends from the front.
Depends what your definition of excellent and crap is.He was excellent today apart from his appaling finishing. Anyone who says he is crap must be watching a different sport.
He’s a decent passer which is why ETH has been playing him behind Rashford, but he’s god awful at everything else. I appreciate people wanting him to succeed because he tries hard, but anyone saying he’s a useful attacker is kidding themselves.
He’s Burnley level for a reason.

Sabitzer has been poor?I love his attitude and his work rate and I feel a goal would possibly open a door, you can see it's frustrating him.
Prefer this loan over Sabitzer who I feel has been poor all round but early days.
But who is a more prolific version of him we could buy in the summer? If that’s what Ten Hag wants in a striker, fine, but we need someone who can score. I di like what he adds in build up and composure but imagine if he had added even 2 more goaks by now (1 in 3).I thought he did well. He helps create space for the other attackers and is clearly doing what ETH wants him to do.
I honestly think he’s lacking confidence, even in scoring in the lesser Turkish league you can tell he lacks confidence but I think Ten Hag is doing wonders for that. Imagine he will be a different player by the end of the loanHe is doing a great job for the team. That's why the team so much wants to give him a chance to score. I know he is already not the most talented finisher. But being a passing monster also has a toll on you in terms of freshness to finish off chances.
Surely Kane is the one?
Can't we just train a youth player to do what he does? Or just sign a younger better player.I like him, wouldn't be against him staying as a squad option for next season on the cheap.

Imagine if he was a better footballer with that work-rate.
Figuring out how to get the most out of his limited abilities, in ways no one expected, is a wonderstroke by ETH and co
That said, I can't figure out how he's so bad in the air. It feels like he jumps downward, attacking the below his actual height
That kind of aerobic capacity cannot be trained to that extent or else everybody would be like what. Can't we just train a youth player to do what he does? Or just sign a younger better player.
He was pretty good apart from the terrible finishing. Which is kind of a problem when you are a striker. But he seems to have the right attitude and works tirelessly. So far not a bad deal.
His heatmap is quite the sight, to be honest:
What the hell... How do you interpret that even! CM?!
I agree he's better than playing 10 men
