Oddly good in the 10 position.
Rashford scored the same goal on Wednesday without him on the pitch.
You mean the 2nd half of the 2nd half? Because he was just as bad as in the first up until he was moved deeper. People saying he had a good game are lying to themselves as he simply cannot lead the line for us and play as a striker. Nowhere near good enough for that role. In a slightly deeper role looked quite a lot better. You obviously didn't watch the second half then.
Yeah, Rashford up top stretches out the center backs and it leaves one of Garnacho and Sancho out left based on form/rotation. Weghorst is also solid defensively in that position which is usually the weakspot of a striker dropping deep.Play him as SS and Bruno on the right. Far better performance. Gives me hope now after seeing that 2nd half performance
What you're saying there are two different things. You can have a good game and not be good enough overall. You mean the 2nd half of the 2nd half? Give him some credit Dan...go on it will make you feel good!
3 points today! love it
I gladly disagree. Not going to be an opinion that many like, but United don't score either goal without him today.
Rashford found the space because the CB moved to cover Weghorst, and Garnacho was put through by a nice pass from Weghorst.
Good game for him (especially after moving to no.10)
He had a good 15-20 minutes spell. What you're saying there are two different things. You can have a good game and not be good enough overall.
Which contributed heavily to us winning the game.He had a good 15-20 minutes spell.
You don't list any alternative options though. Would you prefer Elanga play up top? Whats the alternative when Martial is out, Antony is out, Sancho is not fit for 90 minutes, and Garnacho is clearly better as a substitute right now. Its really easy to say he isn't good enough, but how about offering a realistic different plan? That’s not something we should ever be looking to replicate again. Fellaini was nowhere near good enough and Weghorst is a bad version of him. Yes he was better in the second half, but he should not be regularly staring games for Manchester United. Under any circumstances. He’s a painfully limited player who works very hard, and should be used as a plan B option.

He did, now let's hope we never play him as a striker again because it's pointless.Which contributed heavily to us winning the game.
Depends on the game/opposition.He did, now let's hope we never play him as a striker again because it's pointless.

Yes it did.It didn't. Had nothing to do with Shaw's excellent assist and Rashford's excellent header.
Unless you mean him moving from that position where he was pointless and allowing Rashford to score from the position he was supposed to be occupying allowed us to score, then you are right.
Garnacho Rashford SanchoHe’s awful but if we didn’t have him we’d be in a mess right now. Elanga? No thanks.
Every game I see him start I just get more annoyed at Martial truthfully.
Yes it did.
Which contributed heavily to us winning the game.
There are many others in the thread that have said similar but okay.Keep repeating that, you can actually convince someone if you keep doing it.

I appreciate his effort but getting Martial fully fit for the rest of the year is vital to us. I don't blame Wout. He should be a sub option.
Except he is right.Keep repeating that, you can actually convince someone if you keep doing it.
