5/10 performance = excellent today. Standards for a United-striker have changed a bit..
Much, much better once he went to 10 - was much more involved and helped with his physicality. Was great for our defensive corners too
He’s nowhere near good enough. Just a bit of a nuisance. You’d genuinely be better off with Fellaini up there.
He’s better at receiving the ball in the hole than Bruno, and not much better than winning the ball in the air than Rashford. Yet we keep lumping it up to him. Weird.

Good at a no.10 to be fair but if that's where he's going to contribute, it's better he is on the bench.
Did Maguire touch the ball before he scored? Looked like it was the defender. Very good second half.
Was fine in the last 15 mins or so when was moved a bit deeper. Up until that? Useless, might as well have played with 10 men. He is not good with his feet at all but it was expected however his inability to be useful in high ball situations is what really annoys me. He should not play as a striker for us.

I don't want to sound too harsh because he is trying, and he seems like a good guy character wise. But he is absolutely nowhere near our standard and pointless player.
Too slow for a PL, too slow to even win headers and even when he is there he misses the header even when there is no one around him because he is simply not good enough.
Probably one of worst and pointless strikers who started games for us, Mame Diouf was easily better player. He shouldn't be starting games even probably ahead of Elanga.

Very good in 2nd half.
Brilliant Second half. He isn't being used properly. He needs ball to his feet and we need someone to play off him. He isn't your target man who fights for airballs.

Strange. Awful as a forward leading the line, the physicality, heading etc isn't there for toffee. Doesn't even look like finding himself on the end of something. Then suddenly looks good dropping off. I think he's the type of guy that's always fancied himself as a technician even though he's not, not at the top level anyway - so he's never really used his size. Maybe we need to use him more effectively but he has to lead the line better as that's why he's here.
Great assist from the big chap, he’s doing his job as well as you can expect.

That’s not something we should ever be looking to replicate again. Fellaini was nowhere near good enough and Weghorst is a bad version of him. Yes he was better in the second half, but he should not be regularly staring games for Manchester United. Under any circumstances. He’s a painfully limited player who works very hard, and should be used as a plan B option.

He is doing his best. I just didn’t think he is good enough. He has been very poor in all his games so far I think.
Looked so much better when moved deeper. Looks like he needs to play off someone else - the amount of times in the first half he won headers and flicked them onto nobody...

I think poor is harsh, he's not been great but I would say he's been... absent?
He works very hard, but he isn't the striker everyone here expects him to be? He was never a target man and he never really was great at heading, he is better with the ball to his feet.
Think he can't lead the line. He has to come deep (which is fine) and link with bodies around him. When he is up top, he gets isolated and then gets dispossessed etc. If he comes deep the midfielders and wingers can create triangles.
You obviously didn't watch the second half then.
Didn't like him in the first half, but thought he improved in the second after his positional change. There's a glimmer of hope there. I'm not convinced he'll get many goals, but he may be helpful with assists or in our build-up play.
