Another silly substitution.
But this is literally the most pointless debate because either way, he can't fecking move and that won't get any better either. He wasn’t loaned from Burnley because he wasn’t good enough for the Championship.
Going to have to agree to disagree mate, I think if he could move he’d be a decent striker, he’d certainly have scored more for us.
I think it’s important to note that whoever replaces him as second striker, should be able to run rather than just being a big unit, I don’t think that style of player suits us.But this is literally the most pointless debate because either way, he can't fecking move and that won't get any better either.
Yes. As has been pointed out before, he wasn't even available, not like Sabitzer who was surplus to requirements and Bayern were happy to grant him opportunities elsewhere. We had to fight hard for Besiktas to let him go.I do think questions need to be asked with why this player was brought in. When Sabitzer is more efficient in Wout's position than he is, it does need looking at. Surely there were other options out there, even taking a chance with a relatively more unknown player. He offers zero goal threat.
He needed to play it around to Elanga for was 5 yards away and it would have been a tap in. Absolutely woeful footballer. Cannot believe this is the guy who we went for to get bodies in. Murtough and the entire scouting system can get to feck if this is the best option they could have thought of.

I genuinely think mctominay up front would be better than him
Likely to cover the cost of his wages since they had been relegated and he’d be on a Premier League wage. Most clubs that go down have to do this.So why did Burnley loan him out then?

Out of interest how many players did they loan out from the previous seasons PL squad?
Or Kompany wants a different profile forward while Weghorst wanted to move to play regularly to get into WC squad. From what I see their top scorer is wide forward. The forward line is built toward mobility, running power than Dyche direct long ball toward a target man.Of last season's squad, according to Transfermarkt, 5 left on free transfers and have yet to find a new club, 5 joined another club on a free transfer (some of these rejected offers from Burnley), 4 were sold for a fee, I think 3 including Weghorst left on loan. 8 of their current squad were in the relegated squad.
Jack Cork, Jay Rodriguez and Ashley Barnes signed new deals last summer that would have reflected Burnley being a Championship team; all three were out of contract. I suspect some of the other 5 will have had clauses in their contract that reduced their salary if Burnley were relegated. It would have been difficult to persuade Weghorst to leave the Bundesliga to join Burnley and accept such a clause.
Which makes you think if it was any other player, he'd rob the ball, dribble past the keeper and scores into an empty netHe closed the goalkeeper down. I think that was the big positive I can remember
I looked it up, he actually got loaned because he wanted to play in the top flight because LVG said he wouldn’t pick players for Holland that play in lower leagues.Out of interest how many players did they loan out from the previous seasons PL squad?
Wish someone could post a still from the moment WW got the ball that he chose to layoff to malacia. I swear he was sub 6 yards out and had so much time and space to simply turn and poke it home so easy. No confidence

Football Manager (which may be a terrible source) lists the remaining players as earning between 50% to 60% of their PL salary, most of the new arrivals are on between £500K and £750K per year.
He didn’t want to play championship, he thought it would affect his National chancesSo why did Burnley loan him out then?
He didn't even come free did he? No idea why this is said. Didn't we have to pay a fee to one of his clubs to get him on loan here?

Thinking about this, he had several options.
Turn and shoot left footed.
Lay it to elanga who has his body open to strike it first time right foot
Lay it to Malacia right foot
Lay it to Malacia left foot
Lay it to eriksen?? ( Think it's him)
Think ww ended up choosing the worst choice
No issue if he is start. Total understandable. However, I hope if thing doesn't go well, ETH would be quick to take him off instead of shoehorning in different role because other players can do better job in that role. He's definitely starting vs Forest. Martial will probably be saved for Sevilla and Brighton, understandably. Hope he shows up...
