This is happening so the quicker you make peace with it the better your lots health will be,

One thing for sure he will make Spurs a pretty decent unit. No way he wins the league with that team but top 4 looks very promising for them now,

Looks that way. Got the vital win just in the nick of time. It's been the story of his United tenure.

He will now be here until the end of the season at least. His future surely depends on getting 4th, though - fail to do that and I expect we'll move Ole on in the summer and try for Rodgers or Pochettino.

I just pray on my knees if he doesnt get some kind of trophy the board will understand he cant possibly continue here.

But with his luck he will probably win the FA cup :)

I think that the level below the top 3 is much of a muchness, but Spurs under Conte do now stand a decent chance of emerging from that mediocre pack to claim that 4th spot.

When Chelsea sacked Frank and appointed Tuchel my head was saying we had missed out but my heart was still saying Ole was building something. Knowing how that turned out and now missing out on Conte in similar circumstances but even earlier in the season makes me feel sick. The only thing Ole is building is his bank balance.

Imagine throwing a way a season waiting for Ten Haag, and he turns out to be underwhelming.

What happened to the “long term contract” mentioned earlier? That’s just over 18 months.
Marriage of convenience. Conte wants a job to shop himself around while not being tied down in case Levy pulls his shenanigans again, Spurs likewise for the compensation money.

Of course, Conte had no qualms about walking in the past so the length of the contract doesn't matter.

Crazy, some of you are genuinely happy that a manager who's claim to fame as a manager is getting Cardiff relegated from the premier league is here for the rest of the season.

Chelsea got rid of Lampard who is more of legend for their club than Ole was for ours and reaping the rewards of a top manager now.

Meanwhile we get stuck with a P.E teacher, a man who spends half his time sat in the stands whilst his assistants do his job and the other half laughing as he shouts instructions to players as we play like crap.

If Conte goes to Tottenham then who is genuinely left?
  1. Valverde (free)
  2. Favre (free)
  3. Gallardo (contract up in december)
  4. Ten Hag (free in summer 2022)
  5. Rodgers (has a release clause)
  6. Gasperini (free in summer 2022)
  7. Pioli (free in summer 2022)

I honestly don't think Ten Hag is even that high on their list. They probably hope Poch gets the sack at some point (which is realistic, to be fair) or settle for Rodgers. But yeah, we're throwing away a season here.

This could be very bad news for us. A brilliant manager who if he can get Kane focused again will give Spurs a real shot at top 4. This could be another big mistake by us

Half of them don't speak English and half of them isn't good enough.

ten Hag extended until 2023.

It’s kind of crazy that this line up of managers will potentially be in the Premier league:

Pep, Klopp, Tuchel, Conte

And we have Ole as manager

If we get 2 bad results this week, the meltdown on Saturday

Two bad results might be enough to see Ole sacked. The question would be, who on earth could they replace him with that wouldn't equal an immediate writing-off of the season.

With Conte now gone, the Board must be desperately hoping that it's not a decision they are forced to take, because there are no good options anymore.

Yeah, finishing in the top 4,season after season with hardly any spending power was a “ok” job….No,he won the French cup last season….PSG are 8 points clear in the league right now…
Yeah it’s a good job but nothing particularly amazing IMO, basically what Moyes did with Everton - consistently overachieve versus the budget and expectations. Winning trophies is a completely different things. He had one great season where they got 86 points and a few decent ones where they would hang around 70 points which happened to be enough for a top 3 finish due to lower level of competition (similar to Ole the last two years, won’t be enough this season). The one time they were in title race against Leicester they fell short in a bad fashion which kind of support the argument that he struggles in tight races for trophies (see last year with PSG).

I don’t think you would hire a coach based on him winning a cup with a team whose budget is like 300% of the second biggest club in the country. You have to be a massive Poch lover to consider that a big achievement. Winning domestic trophies with PSG is basically a given, though I would say losing the title to Lille last year is something that puts a stain on his reputation rather than winning the French Cup elevating him to a higher level.

Poch seems to have sort of a cult following around his that does not seem to have a reflection in his achievements as a coach, which are basically non-existent. Conte is on a different planet when it comes to achievements.

Probably four of the five or six best managers in world football.

Will be interesting to see them go head to head.

Outside of Conte we are in caretaker territory with no certainty to have someone decent this summer. But to be fair we knew that last Summer already so nothing changed and we better hope that Ole does the job.

They were right indeed, then. It escalated verery quickly and seems a done deal to Spurs.
The "winning seems not their first priority" is something I can totally believe with this club and Board. How the feck can one justify keeping Ole over getting Conte, especially after we got murdered by Liverpool at OT. You'd think the club and its hierarchy would have more pride than that. Guess we don't.

Can't believe we've let Spurs get Conte. Absolutely pissed, by far the best manager available. Rodgers or Poch will end up coming in and fail again

What makes you think we’re waiting for Ten Hag? It’s Poch or Rodgers. Most likely Rodgers.

We don't need Conte, we are allergic to trophies. We need excuses.

Conte would have been a bad fit at United. We need a boy scout who would be too grateful for the job to even contemplating exposing the incompetence of either the bankers or the club legends who are hired at the club. Thus is why Ole survives everything including years of trophyless seasons and a 5-0 defeat against Liverpool at home
