Zero sense to you and perhaps others of the blind faith persuasion. You still did not answer questions such as whether any other elite club would put up with this. And what makes you think (other than blind faith) that Ole will change things. What makes you think he will suddenly imprint a style of play on the team which he has not been able to do in about a year? Which a certain Klopp you named did in a few months, then got the personnel as he desired and made his team a machine. But for you it's not Ole it's the players. First the right players have to be brought in then the style of play will come right? Whatever happened at Villa is of no consequence to me because iirc Villa have won zero trophies since your stated miracle happened and neither is their football being hailed as pathbreaking unfortunately. Come up with something logical as to why we should persist with Ole. Try leaving out the below if we want to have a meaningful non-zero sense discussion

1. Legend
2. Class of 92 team member
3. Legend
4. Patience is key
5. We are not a sacking club
6. We are still not mathematically out of Europa spots.
7. Players are shit
8. Pogba is shit
9. Legend
10. Injuries
11. Did I mention Legend?

just wondering if you saw the style on Wednesday and today pal?

Still in the Etihad had to post this

. We rocked the Etihad today the boys where unreal . That's for every one of the clowns on here crying everyday to get our manager sacked . Back your team back your manager and give him time to build his own team .

MANCHESTER IS RED !!!!
So true.

Very happy for Ole, but like many on here I've not changed my mind. One swallow doesn't make a summer.

So you'd be happy to see Ole sacked in the morning?
Poll question is not that. I for example, before these 2 games against Spurs and City wanted Ole sacked immediately but now I am ok giving him some more time. I still think he should not be our manager next season though.

At the risk of repeating myself... how can anyone judge Ole harshly knowing he has that squad.
Give him a fair crack .. he isnt clueless.. we have plenty of evidence to show that.

Give him a chance. Whats the fecking obsession with sacking managers.?

He's here to stay. Especially after a performance like the past week. Once we get Pogba back and get some reinforcements in the team, we'll start getting more consistent in the smaller games too.

I like how when people are not happy with a long run of games they’re called knee jerk but then are told they should change their votes after a few good wins.

We do have a short squad but I dont think thats the main reason why Ole hasn’t been able to get us playing good football consistently.

Pereira is freaking awful, and Mata feck doesn’t even have the physicality to play in the MLS.

At times this season it has seemed we don’t have a midfield. But Fred and McT seem to be growing into the job. If we get Pogba back and let him play as the most advanced midfielder, we just might get the consistency we have been missing, and climb back into CL spots.

It would never take 2 games for anyone to vote sack so shouldn’t take 2 games for anyone to change to keep.

What I think is these two games deserves extra time to see if it’s a corner turned or just a false dawn.

14/18 points against chelsea, leicester, arsenal, liverpool, spurs and city
10/30 points against wolves, palace, southampton, west ham, newcastle, norwich, bournemouth, brighton, sheff utd and aston villa

So it's pretty simple, if we keep this form going through the next four games, three of which should be bankers (Everton H, Watford A, Newcastle H, Burnley A), then Ole will have bought himself the January transfer window and the rest of the season to stake his claim.

After a win ?
1-1 Liverpool
3-1 Norwich
0-1 Bournemouth
3-1 Brighton
3-3 Sheffield U
2-2 Aston Villa
2-1 Tottenham
2-1 Man City

Does a manager deserve to get sacked after that ?

We have won 4 out of 7
We have scored 12 goals in the last 5
We have beaten Chelsea, Tottenham and City
We should have beaten both Arsenal and Liverpool

But did you change your mind to sack when we had only won 28% of the last 30 games? Most managers would have been sacked with that record.

We have still put in some very poor performances recently. The last two have been great, but people are not going to jump to keep knowing we have played terribly in the two games before these.

We have not put the bad performances to bed. We have played poorly in 3 of the last 4 Premier League games before these two. It is not enough to change people's minds.

The last two matches have shown a lot of promise, but there needs to be far more of those games to follow.

Everton and Watford will be tough with the new managers, but really we should be winning these games. Watching Burnley that should be a easy three points.

Yeah what we need is Ole to show that he can actually set a team up to dominate lesser opponents.

Managers that know how to frustrate big teams are really ten-a-penny in the history of the Premier League. The difference Ole has to most of them is that he's currently doing it with a top six side.

But he has to show far more than just underdog counterattacks to be worthy of the United job.

Jesus lads he's shown he can manage. Pep, Jose, Rodgers etc. How about letting him build a squad before trying to sack him

Time, patience and less injuries. That is the key.

You all know where I stand with managers (should be given time) and specially Solskjaer. We are seeing progress. Even if we had lost today we are making small steps forward. Now we have got some connection with top 4 and with our current form we can hopefully come even nearer in next couple of games.

If we also get some 2-3 quality players in January (2 midfielders + forward, despite Fred and McTom working superb together) we will have big chance of winning some silverwere this year.

That's a fecking absurd record. Though, it should be easier to figure out how to beat the lesser teams than it does to beat the big teams. IIRC Poch had 6/30 vs the big teams so they are like the polar opposite. If we somehow could combine Poch and Ole we would get the perfect manager

This.

I'm still in the sack boat. I already knew that we can play better against big clubs because it allows us to counter attack. But when we go back to dropping points against league fodder, I guess we can change our votes then.

Hopefully we will, but the Pogba issue seems kind of shady I think we will inevitably lose him in the summer.

Not changing my vote just yet. We should really not just be ‘game raisers’. Feels great to be optimistic again though! December will be a huge month for us.

Changed it, not because I have more faith than before, but because I hope the people who have faith are correct. It would be so good if Ole turned it around.

The rest of our December fixtures look good on paper. Everton (h), Watford (a), Newcastle (h), Burnley (a)

A good chance to prove this isn't another false dawn and we can be consistent against teams we should be expected to beat.

These are exactly the sort of games that will **** us over. None of them will come to play expansive football.

I can totally see us drawing or losing up to 3 of those games if we are not well prepared

If the argument was lack of shots on goal, bad coaching, failed to get the best out of players, etc. You should change your vote and get behind the team and manager! I read a few comments on here, "but what about Villa ans Sheffield!? First, we played Pereira as holding mid. Second, neither of them teams are mugs. The fact that there are more voting for sack is embarrassing!

Yes, I agree we may lose Pogba. But you never know, if we get back into UCL he might just take a new contract.

I don't have much faith either but if we manage to come out of this period unscathed it will go a long way for Ole gaining back support and trust in his methods. We're only 5 points off Chelsea who have to travel to Spurs and Arsenal this month so a good chance to close the gap.

Good win for Ole and the team today, credit where its due! In the long run i think we need someone better but lets enjoy this evening :D

My top 4 hopes are on Pogba.

10 is our weakest position this season with Lingard, Pereira and Mata all being rather unexciting so to have a player who has it in his locker to pull out moments of magic when the attack is looking impotent is just what we need.

I would have more hope in the bottom 3 teams taking points off Chelsea than that spineless Arsenal team. Jose no doubt will want to beat Chelsea

Absolutely, I hope Ole has the sense to play him in front of McTominay and Fred rather than the deeper role where he's far less effective.

Back in keep and there is no question about it. Feels a lot better I am too!
