Wot, no transfers?

He rates them and doesn't hide his endorsement of their abilities. No need to be in denial or look for scapegoats. He and the board likely don't see eye to eye on some things but that has nothing to do with Fellaini and Young

But we need a RB, we need a LB, we need a CB and another CM, we need a RW, so far nothing has been delivered and we linked with a player where we already have that position filled. Like mark has said, how are we going to close this 20 point gap?

Have a generous opinion of what we 'need'. Another CM? We have possibly 3 first team CMs and play a 2 CM system. More importantly does Jose think we need a new CM? Does he think we need a new LB or RB? Based on what exactly?

West Ham have just signed their 7th player of the window!
I can’t stand them as a club, but you can’t fault their early business.

Just signing a load of players every season doesn’t work. We don’t need 7 players - have they actually signed anyone that we would want?

I think we’d need an experienced CB, a RW and a LB and I’d say we’ve done well.

A RW and LB who can consistently put in crosses will probably increase Fellainis effectiveness, since he’ll be obviously used as an aerial goal threat as well as to harass deep lying playmakers.

The LB could be and hopefully is someone like Sandro, with Young as an experienced backup which at 33 years old you’d expect and want, because Young isn’t a Giggs, Ibra or Henrik Larsson in that he looks awesomely fit. Same can applied for RB with Dalot and Valencia.

I’m one of those people on here who say that our wide players is one of the main causes of why we’re not as good as we should be. Teams who park 9-10 outfielders behind the ball when we have possession find it easy because they know our wide options are gash. We have no true wingers. We have attacking midfielders who all like to cut inside so everyone knows where to put bodies too. Our full backs are 33 year old converted wingers. Valencia has seemingly exchanged his winger prowess he once had for defensive sturdiness. Young can somewhat cross consistently but it’s always that ball from the left touchline 30 yards out, aiming for the far post for Fellaini to head it in. They’re great to have as back-up but not starting every week.

The experienced CB is the one I’d prioritise the least. I don’t know whether it’s because we lack quality experience or we’ll be using 3 centre backs a lot. Alderweireld and Bonucci would fit that perfectly. The former will be quite expensive and the latter is cheaper but who knows if he’ll adapt... especially when the list of successful Italian players in the Premier League is pretty short. Unless it’s Zola they’re flash in a pan then fade into mediocrity at best.

There’s still plenty of time though. Clubs can make double signings within a day and stuff usually gets done when a big transfer is complete. The Ronaldo to Juve move seems to be the one that’s getting the ball rolling. This is nothing like the Moyes summer where it was a case of nothing got done at all until the last hour when he just panicked and overpaid for Fellaini... in a summer where there was no major tournament going on. At least stuffs already been done this summer.

Aye aye. Lets shut the fecking forum down altogether then. Who the feck we are to even dare the club's transfer policy or Mou's effect on the team. Let us just keep winning an odd FA cup here and there and throw a towel to the league before X-mas again. Being one of the biggest clubs in the world and bottling it in the league and Europe repeatedly.

Name a single time you did something that altered the clubs decision? When was that time Jose and the club thought, “Oh no, best not do that, Water Melon won’t approve!”

No shite Sherlock, this is why you ought to agree with everything that the club or Mou does. As I said, shut the fecking forum.down altogether. All hail the board and Mou. The clue is that I am here not to change the way the club is run. I am here to express to my opinion and it could be different from someone else's. Mou is yet to achieve something with United by the way. Past trophies do not cut it anymore, applicable to every manager and football player. You've got to prove yourself season in season out.

Old fullbacks that are way past their best
 Dalot and Shaw have yet to hit their prime

Dalot can also play as a LB and RB, Fred started off as a LB so he can do a shift there and Pereira has come back from loan, so using that logic one can probably argue that we've made 8 signings- which is a few signings over the quota you mentioned.
Excellent point. More reasons why we won't make any further signings
No, but seriously I reckon we'll sign 2 more players between LB, CB and RW. All 3 if we're lucky.
We might sign a CB. Alderweireld is unlikely because he's 29 and will be very pricey. Reports indicate we might go for Maguire which would make sense. He's cheaper and younger.

I reckon we'll make a greater effort in signing Alderweireld now and if Bale is available we'll definitely make a move.

Make your mind up. Do you want express your opinion on the club or do you want to effect the clubs transfer policy?

Also, what’s with all the “feck”? Have a discussion, not need to keep on swearing. Relax.

We will definitely make at least one more top signing, more likely 2 with an experienced CB and a right winger ;

I have heard from a credible source that we are in for 2 or 3 options in these two positions but we are waiting on Madrid and other teams to move for us to move. We have spent approx 70M so have 90M plus the transfer funds of Blind, Darmian 25M and one of Jones, Smalling or Rojo will be sold if we receive a bid of 20-25M.
Luke Shaw was offered to Everton for 20M but he turned the move down. That would leave us about 140M-150M still to spend on the following options;

Right Winger; G Bale, I Perisic, H Lozano, O Dembele - 90M-50M

Centre Back; T Auderweireld, L Bonucci, H Maguire - 60M - 40M

There will be no Left Back option not until the January Window but if we sign Perisic he may play left Wing Back in a new formation!

To tell you the truth, he should dispose of his family so that he can't waste time on them and conduct United transfer dealings instead. Resident sociopaths may agree.

Well atleast watch his star player in the World Cup fecking final!

Pathetic - his office is in London. I wish some of our ‘fans’ would have a day off.

If only he was in Russia this afternoon we would have definitely signed Mpabbe...

He can have a day off when the transfer window is closed and business can’t be done. Right now we are lacking and he is out watching the poxy tennis. Priorities.

Specifically what should he have been doing this afternoon? Sending out emails to other CEO’s...

Such drama queens on here.

If we want to challenge City for the league title we need a LB, CB and a RW.

To fail in any of those areas means taking the league from city will be much more challenging that it needs to be.

Ps... If woodie wants to watch Wimbledon on a Sunday what's the big deal. Leave the man alone

I saw a picture earlier this week of Woodward out at a restaurant for a bit to eat, no wonder we can't get any transfers done. Dithering Ed.

Wow. Rich CEO goes to Wimbledon final on a Sunday. Halt the presses.

Desperation abounds.

The lack of rumours can be interpreted as we’ve already sorted out who we are signing and now it’s just down to agreeing terms with the said player and/or agreeing a fee from that club...or even we’re just waiting to announce it so the team we’re buying from can get a replacement(s) in at a reasonable price, so that they don’t get fecked over by another club over the replacements fee.

I’ve found the Utd speculation to be noticeably lower than usual, which could mean there’s no trail for journalists to chase because we’ve already sorted them out or in the process of sorting them out privately.

I cant tell who is being serious or who is taking the piss anymore in this thread lol.

The lack of rumours is made up. We have recently been linked to both Bonucci and Perisic.
