I'll be honest, I'll be disappointed if we finish up with VdB and Reguilon, even the Reguilon one (to me) seems more like Madrid trying to put pressure on Sevilla to put in a permanent transfer bid rather than just a renewed loan.

I appreciate we needed some depth, but we have two holes at CB and RW which don't look like they are going to be addressed. Its all gone very quiet. 11 days til our season starts and less than 4 weeks until the window closes, those dates are the same for Dortmund too, I assume our chances of Sancho become slimmer when they start their season and vanish entirely once we get within a week or two of the window closing. At what point does this become genuine concern?

£30m winger e.g. Sarr would be better than Lingard, James for example.

Unless we start playing a 4-1-2-1-2 which is a formation with 2 strikers and 4 midfielders, I cannot see us doing well with the attack. This formation needs alot of coaching, which I do not think ole is capable of.

All true, although greenwood is a bonus at least. But yeah, we should be shipping out 2 or 3 centre backs even for lower money and saving on wages while getting that right winger. Still time but getting close to the start now.

I don't see the issue in our attack at all, we had arguably the best attacking front 3 in Europe last season with their goal involvement. Absolutely we need another option like Sancho I won't argue but our attack has looked very good.

Also, there's always defensive bargains out there to be had. A 21 year old Harry Maguire was sold for £2.5m. Varane went to Madrid for £7m. A 23 year old Van Dijk joined Southampton for £13m. Barcelona got Lenglet for £27m.

Just hope United's scouting is as improved as we're told. Because there's someone out there now who'll be one of the best CB's in 4 seasons time who can be nabbed on the cheap and United need to start identifying them. Vidic was our last great defensive buy, wasn't he? Like 14 years ago now.

We are a club with huge debt, we could always take the risk by adding another £100m to the debt for the club rather than for the Glazers. Interests on debt right now is so low, it would not kill the club in the short / medium or the long run considering how we are run.

Well, I'm calling it now. Unless we get two more players in before our first game then our transfer window has been very very poor. It is irrelevant to me if the transfer window has another month to go. Basic transfer planning should be to strengthen your squad (and first team) before a competitive match has been played so to maximise point potential as much as possible.

By the time the window closes we'll have played 3 PL matches. Nine points that could make or break our season come the end of the season.
