Well that was an incredible finish !! I just put 20 on over 8 corners at evens after goal expecting surge of netherland corners and won by the 75th minute.
Not sure what to bet on in the later game but over 2 asian goal line @2.1 seems tempting . Despite greece being made out to be ultradefensive 2 games in which they had 11 players had 7 goals in total. Will decide just before game maybe..

Greece to win and btts at 7/1. Greece have never won to nil in the world cup and Costa Rica have only lost to nil twice in a world cup. Not confident on them winning but it's good value.

One thing i have learnt the hard way .. Never bet against the greeks .. Proper jammy cnuts , lost money on japs to beat them and lost money on ivory coast to quaify ...I hope havak cashed out

I feel you mate, I've been through it all the time. For example if I had kept faith with Holland today, I'd have made a profit of £1700 but I decided to stake £2000 on Mexico to win/qualify, individual bet and together with an accumulator for the other matches so I can recoup back some losses. I ended up losing £1400 overall and was so angry with myself so I bet £2000 on a meaningless handball match - Portugal Women vs Sweden Women with the lowest total games alternative of over 43.5 goals and the game ended 22-19. Anger bets are always the worst kind of bets. Happy for you that you won but in future, refrain from doing this again cause anger bets will eventually lead to a lot more loss.
Had £20 on Holland to win at 28/25 and £25 on Greece to have over 48.5% possession at 93/100. Nothing major but a decent little double your money day.

you can't bet on motm any more anyway. And never try to chase losses guys, it's how people go broke, if you bet reasonably big money and don't have the discipline to avoid chasing losses I really suggest you stop gambling, it's just a risk not worth taking.

In fact its only been because of couple of anger bets that I have been in profit in this world cup .. was losing huge on ivory coast to win vs greece so went big on columbia to score 3 + vs japs and was sure i was gonna lose overs in russia algeria one when russia scored and started sitting back so ended up putting money in anger on 10 men belgium . I have got lucky twice now and have decided to take my first bet more sensibly else I know I would end up with a rage bet and probably lose big on of these times.

Think I'll swerve the Benzema bet. Fantastic price obviously but last time I bet on an obvious mistake like that was with Bet Victor who voided the bet and closed my account. Paddy Power are too valuable for me to risk.
This, basically. Have seen a lot of people lose trying to chase losses, myself included. That's why I have stopped betting on random matches and have gone in for sure shot singles/doubles.

Indeed. Chasing losses is a perfect way to lose plenty of money in betting. I admit I did that in Russia v Korea game to make up for Brazil v Mexico but it only lost me another $50.
I've managed to win some money finally during the weekend. I'm still about $250 behind in this World Cup and I don't expect to make a profit from it, lately I've been playing mostly for fun - yesterday I managed to get Netherlands win in regular time at 5/1, day before I got Colombia -1 at 3/1. I put money on Greece to qualify when they were 1-0 down with 5 minutes to go at 11/2 and thought I might win but it didn't amount to much in the end.
Playing for fun is far better. Whenever I have tried to be calculative, I have lost. But recently I have just had a look over the teams and the matches and bet instinctively, and have incidentally started turning over profits, and have stayed away from the dicey matches. And as of today, I am in the plus, albeit small, but still.
As others have said, singles and at most doubles is the best way. Long shots bets hardly ever come off.
