Wimbledon 2015

I really don't know who I want to win here...on the one hand, I really like Stan. But on the other, it'd be great to see Gasquet in the SF again.

These two have the best backhands in the game. Absolutely hate the two handers.

That's probably Djokovic through to the final then. I think Stan would have given Novak more of a match in the semis. I don't really expect Gasquet to beat him

What a game!

Kudos to Gasquet for holding in there! Hopefully he can take out Nole.

A uk vs french final would be nice. (Andy has to do his part as well)

Gasquet is a mystery. He had all the tools just lacked it mentally.

But happy for him as he is a joy to watch.

Gasquet has impressed me; he's finally moved past the petty, angry kid thing he had going for most of his career. Sort of bummed he's going to get murdered by Djokovic now...

If he plays like he did today he won't. But most likely he won't play that well.

Really turned into a solid match. The beginning of the Gasquet-Wawrinka match was terrible, filled with errors, but Stan picked it up at the end of the second. Gas quiet matched him and won the 4th and ultimately got the match. He held his nerve and I think he was the better player over the course of the match. Great win by him.

I think in theory Novak should be too much for him but if he can be as controlled as he was today he might trouble him and give a really good match. Hopefully so. Gasquet has always had the talent, it's the mentality that had been lacking. Keep that up and it could be a great match.

Looking forward to the Serena-Sharapova match tomorrow too. Hoping Serena annihilated Sharapova once again and completes her 'Serena-Slam' at the least. I love to watch Sharapova lose at any rate. Hoping Agnieszka wins her SF versus Muguruza too because I like her versatile game, but I wouldn't be angry with a young player reaching a slam final. Hup hup.

I firmly believe Gasquet will play well until 4:4, Djokovic will crank up the pressure, Gasquet will falter and then, after losing 4:6 in the first, surrender the rest of the match quite tamely.

I think Gasquet's relative lack of mobility will let him down. I've not seen Djokovic play at all over the past week, has he not been in top form then?

What's with the guys hatred towards Sharapova a few posts above? It's a bit creepy.

Novak has played very well apart from the 1st 2 sets vs Anderson which he lost both on tie break

The guy who just said that he likes when Sharapova loses? I'm not seeing the creepy...

I hope she wins, mind. She is the best hope of stopping Serena (whose dominance is getting a touch dull).

Sorry for a bit of offtopicking but.

On this day 14 years ago Goran won his first and only, long dreamed, Wimbledon title after that famous final vs Rafter. :)

Cilic lost vs Djokovic as expected unfortunately. What he has in technique he lacks in the heart as opposed to Goran who wasnt the best technically but he was crazy as hell and thats what pushed him. :)
Combination of Cilic and Goran would be a great player and maybe young Borna Coric is exactly that. Or so I hope.

Serena vs Sharapova is as good as a final. Can't see these two playing the other semi threatening much. Nothing to look forward to on Saturday with regards to this.

Radwanska challenges at 40-40 in the middle of a point because her team told her to. It was in and gave her opponent match point which she won. Madness.

isn't it against the law? I could not see the gesture??
They never show the gesture. But often players look at their box before challenging. Commentators mentioned it, and right after she lost the challenge she turned to them with a "wtf" gesture.

a 4-1 lead can be overturned like nothing
are you watching the surprisingly expected result?
Half watching. I don't understand how a number 4 seed can serve like. She can hit lethal ground strokes but serves like a 15 year old.

That face you make when you're playing Serena Williams.

This has all the hallmarks of Serena winning relatively easily. ..then getting ambushed on Saturday.

A really disappointing match... Serena is obliterating Sharapova.

Sharapova didn't even touch the ball in the final set.

I'm in complete awe of Serena, it wasn't even competitive.
