Wimbledon 2012

Murray's girlfriend is pretty..he's been seeing her for a while now. Time to man up and ask the question.

There's some sort next to Boris Becker who dives for cover every time the camera zooms in.

Does Murray always play like this? Doesn't look strong at all. Seems to be playing super cautiously.

This match will end in 45 mins so it's likely that the match will be finished on Monday. That's unfair on the winner of this match with such little rest for the next match!

Murray breaks back.

4-4, Murray to serve next. Part of me hopes he loses, but I wanna see Tsonga beat him.

He'll win this but Tsonga will beat him if he plays like this.

Murray celebrating the set like he's won the championship. If you hadn't played this bad, you wouldn't be in this situation.

From Murray's wikipedia:

Andrew "Andy" Murray (15 May 1987 - 30 June 2012) was a Scottish professional tennis player. Murray is the British No.1 and ranked No. 4 in the world. He was said to have died of severe egoism after having had a lifelong addiction to marijuana.

 I was just having a look at that myself.

Surely they'll let the match finish if Murray is on the verge of winning?

You'd think so but there are regulations. It looks like the match will be close to finishing in the next 10 minutes so on Monday they'll probably end up going on court 'only' to play one game or two before it's over.

He's such a streaky player, Murray. So many times he'll start sluggishly, get into trouble, maybe learn his opponent, then finally find his rythem and it's a totally new game.

Ideally, Murray will break him with an awesome return on each serve, then bang out 4 aces... all in 2 minutes.

It's just unfair to have to play a single game on Monday

And he does it, at 11:02.

Wow

Good game that! Like a bit of drama, me.

Not sure I've ever seen anyone more annoying than Murray on court, the over reactions after every point & the fake injuries when it's not going his way only to be moving so freely shortly after when he starts winning a few, just find the man annoying.

Anyone know what music was playing during the closing credits of tonight's coverage?

It's absolute lunacy. I urge anyone who thinks otherwise to go and ask everybody on the grand slam tour from the chair umps to the players to the fecking tea ladies. All of them say he's the humblest gentlemen of the game and don't have a bad word to say about him.

It's pure fantasy to say that he acts the cnut at any stage. Mostly peddled by bitter fans.

What's that based on? I worked at Wimbledon for many years and that wasn't the experience I had.

It's also that that makes me stick up for Murray a bit. He might be quite a serious bloke, but he wasn't a cnut and would usually spare a hello when passing, which is quite unusual for the players.

Not different from football. People will see you playing and maybe the odd interview, and figure out they know you well and know what you are all about.

Yeah, I mean to some extent I can understand that. I don't 'know' Ashley Cole, but I think he's a prick from the glimpses we see of him and how he puts himself across.

Initially Murray did do a couple of things like that, complaining about the English when a lot of his support and funding came from here didn't win him much support. But I think since then he's matured a bit and I haven't seen anything in recent years which makes me think he's a dick. Yes, he's quite dour and not an 'entertainer', but that's not his temperament and not really why he's there. He's young enough that he still might win a major in the future, and I'll be supporting him in his efforts to do that.

I think the pressure will be too much for Andy with Rafa out. Some of his celebrations yesterday were OTT considering the circumstances.

In Australia no one expected him to beat Djokovic much less do that and then beat Rafa. In fact, most thought Novak would dismantle him again. This didn't happen and I think Andy played a fairly pressure free game that day.

He has better chances in America and Australia. The pressure isn't as great and it's a better surface for him.

That was incredibly shit from Baghdatis, he just gave up and accepted defeat after losing the third set. And what's more, he seemed to be happy to try and speed it up and get it finished for Murray that night

He should have took some tactical medical breaks or whatever to slow it down to at least have a chance coming back on Monday (which incidentally is lame, should be Sunday) rather than just bending over

Federer's gone off court to get "assessed". :(

This is probably his last chance of winning Wimbledon. This would be the worst way for it to be dashed.
