Ferrer v Murray should be a good contest. Both appear to be showing decent form.
Del Potro is perpetually injured. He started off so brightly (he has more Grand Slams than Murray ) but has been blighted by injury ever since. A shame; he was the only player on tour who could go toe-to-toe with Nadal at the baseline and actually stand a fair chance.
Umm Djokovic?!!
And I find Serena William's post match interviews incredibly annoying. Why does she have to sign off with such a cheesy bye? Can't she give a normal interview like the other players?
Shame none of them can play any good tennis though.I haven't followed tennis since the Agassi/Sampras days, and even then was just their matches, but there seems to be an abundance of sexy female tennis players these days.

Watching the match between Kerber and Lisicki. Awful stuff. The former is distinctly average, has made about 2 winners in 2 sets. The latter ridiculously hit and miss, with every other shot hitting the net.

I wondered if someone would mention that
Djokovic can beat Nadal, as we've seen, but he doesn't do it by going toe-to-toe with him on the baseline. Nadal's game has an awful lot of finesse, but there's also a fierce amount of brute strength involved. Djokovic beats Nadal using other methods, the same way Murray can (sometimes) beat Nadal through sheer tenacity and simply returning everything that comes at him.
My point was that Del Potro, however, can beat Nadal at his own game.

What about Tsonga? Didn't he go "toe-to-toe" with Nadal in that Australian Open semi-final a few years back and win?
Nadal is a grinder who needs about 30 shots to win each point as he wears his opponents down or moves them around so much they are exhausted after 5 minutes. He only comes to the net if he has a 100% safe volley or to shake hands. Being left handed helps too and he is a manufactured player (right-handed but made to play left-handed) who has developed so much spin to make life as difficult as possible for every one else. He can be overpowered though by big-hitters who are on their game and Djokovic does it because he also has a great 2 handed backhand. Nadal has no finesse at all other than the occasional drop shot once in a blue moon.
Murray is also an all court player but he does not have as much aggression or balls as Djokovic. Del Potro thumps the ball from everywhere but his movement is not great.
Of course Roger is the classic player and in his prime was virtually unbeatable other than on clay by Nadal. I believe the Roger of 2006/07 would beat all of these guys on all surfaces now but unfortunately he was always the second best clay court player in the world. Now if Roger had a 2-handed back hand Nadal would not have beaten him so often but then Roger would perhaps not have won as many other titles as his one-hander helped him win Wimbledon so often. It's too bad the court surfaces have slowed down so much as that just plays into the hands of Nadal and all the other baseliners. I bet Sampras, Edberg, Becker etc would have a tough time at Wimbledon now as it's so unrewarding to the attacking player.
Meh, should have closed it out but Murray did well. Did not make a single unforced error after going down 5-2, exactly what you want.Ferrer bottled that one.
Ferrer has been doing his best to bottle this all night. First set and the second.
