Willian | Signed for Chelsea

He's now on a brazilian sports show, and said Chelsea offered 25mi for him, but Shaktar denied wanting 30. Spurs offered 30, but in five parcels, which was also denied.

He's dying to go to England, even try his wife to convince the owner but no deal.

30mi is too much, no?

How? :lol

30M is probably too much, but then again if your bidding 25M you might aswell spend the extra 5M.

I guess it was a toss up between Oscar / Willian, tough choice.

Suprised Shakthar didnt accept the spurs offer, that still sounds fair to me.

Shakhtar are pretty rich, they don't need to sell so one lump sum would be easier for them to get in a replacement then a structured deal.

True but then again there isnt alot of clubs in the current climate who will dish out £30m in 1 lump sum on a Willian.

I rate him a lot but i just cant see many people wanting that sort of deal.

We should buy him without worrying about any bosman deal, the same sort of figure as kagawa should cover it.

While we are there we should get fernandinho too

He has apparently been spouting his mouth off in recent weeks that he is 'going to Manchester' in January, and there have been some 'United or City' mystery surrounding it.

My guess is he's joining Stockport.

Reportedly heading to Anzhi. Hate seeing players go to Russia/Turkey.

I know, it's an awful move for him to make, from Ukraine to Russia.

Could've easily ended up in England too. It's not confirmed yet though, I don't think.

Why? People there will love to see him and the leagues are getting stronger.

He's already in Ukraine, what difference does moving to Russia make with regards racism? It's not like he's currently playing and living in a country well known for their acceptance of black players. See England U21's.

Because it means I'll never see him play probably, and if I do it'll only be against shitty teams or the odd European games. He has great potential, is young enough, and was wanted by a few clubs in England. To be completely honest, I don't care if those leagues are getting stronger.

Also, Hulk isn't loved too much there, nor Samba. You sure he'll be 'loved'?

Wasn't that Serbia?

And thats a weird thing to say tbf. If a player was being racially abused in Serbia or Ukraine, you think being racially abused in Russia is then ok? Surely he'd want to get away from it if he was being abused.

He said People there would "love" to see him.....

Also, what BD94 said above is spot on too, if you actually want to make that argument.

You're right of course, it was Serbia. Ukraine was the Euro 2012 racism issue.

My point was a move to Russia from Ukraine isn't a step into the unknown for a black footballer. He knows what he'll likely face, he's likely facing it now in grounds around the country. I'm not excusing racism, but it clearly doesn't bother him if he's prepared to stay in the Eastern bloc.

That being said, I don't think it's a very adventurous move and I'm sure he could have easily found a club in a better, more prestigious league.

More talk of him coming to England recently now the entire Anzhi squad is up for sale. I must say I'm a big fan of his work, and if we are looking at Bale/Ronaldo - he could be a very good option as an alternative.

I believe he is the real deal.

Never seen him play, but he seems to be criminally underrated by most people.

Murmurs of him going to city.

To go from a winger-less narrow team to having Navas and Willian donning the flanks is a bit of a step up.

Are you able to rate/compare him to Lamela? I'm curious because Spurs are sometimes linked to both players.

Quite a few media outlets tonight reporting that Liverpool have made an inquiry.

Now let me just find my wank sock...

Yeah I can't see him going to Liverpool either.
You never know. World Cup year and he would be a guaranteed starter for most games.

Oh god. This whole 'WC year' thing has gotten out of control.

Tottenham too apparently.

Not getting too excited, he is going to want Champions League football I would have thought.
Probably more chance of signing WILL I AM

We're being linked in the Telegraph and the Daily Mail.

Just saw this too.
It's possibly just because he is the only player left that we haven't yet been linked with.

I'd love him at Arsenal, we're a bit short out wide with Gervniho gone and Ox increasingly playing in a central role. But we'd only bid a record fee only for him not to come.
Bidding for him would be risky because there'd actually be a chance that Anzhi mignt accept a £20m+ bid.
