William Carvalho

Would be a great signing, and with Vidal's fecked up knees, a very good plan B. I mean look at that Fernando from Porto and how good he is for City, he is supposed to be even better than him.

Think this could be a very good signing.

Well looks like he's the one we are going for then, no problem with that he could be immense, and the right sort of age too, only worry is how long he would take to adapt to PL.

Ladyman now said we are in the race for Vidal and Carvalho in one day. Surely we won't sign both so who is more realistic.

Honestly, if we get rid of our whole CMs besides Carrick then we could.

The energy and dynamism this lad would bring our midfield would be a shock to the system, i.e. a big strong powerful midfielder who can run all day.

I'd be happy with him for £24m and no Vidal frankly.

@Sly anything in Portugal regarding this?
Nothing yet. His thread hasn't been bumped in 6 hours or so. I expect the news to blow up anytime soon. Is that Ladyman more reliable than Torres?

I reckon Ogden knows nothing. Just throwing in the usual names and hoping for the best. Carvalho, Blind, de Jong, Strootman, Vidal and so on. I trust Ian Ladyman more. Obviously wouldn't mind Carvalho from what I've read about him on here.

Carvalho would be a really solid plan B to Vidal. He's younger, doesn't have fecky knees, and is exactly what we need in midfield. If we can land Carvalho then I wouldn't be upset if we miss out on Vidal.

I've only watched him a few times and that was mostly in the world cup, but he doesn't really seem that kind of player. He's obviously a bit of unit but he doesn't seem to get around too much - seems to rely a lot more on his positioning.

Seen very little of Carvalho so anyone with a summary of what kind of midfielder he is?

He works for the dailymail but I don't know how reliable he is. I always thought Ducker and Ogden were the reliable ones regarding United.

He does not 'run all day', he is just a player that is always in the perfect position to defend. I however doubt his passing ability, Kroos for a similar price is less defensibly stable but can offer way more attacking wise.

I would still want Vidal over him as Vidal can attack and defend equally good, he does not just sit back like Carvalho.

Carvalho is similar to Carrick's game, but more defensive.

He's a Mendes client as well.

Won't be surprised.

Thought this fella was certain to join Arsenal.

Vidal and Carvalho? Van Gaal obviously sick of Cleverley and Anderson's shit.
