Just watched Januzaj and although wasn't entirely his fault, if you hadn't watched him in a utd shirt, who would not know how brill hes been for us based on one game!!!!
The signing of Herrera has ruled out this signing for me.
My head hurts.I am not buying this story. Seems like typical crap that we hear regarding transfers. But this one is emanating from India, hence seemed funny and share-worthy, so sharing it :-). Don't hate me not trying to sell this as a genuine source or anything, just seemed funny so posting it here.
My friend has a cousin(I know him too), he works in Deloitte. That guy is in Kolkatta(for a client or with Deloitte am not sure). This guy(cousin of my friend) has a colleague, who has a cousin working in the MU Strategy Team(I have no idea what this is and if it exists). This MU Strategy team guy has been told that Carvalho is travelling to Manchester for completing the transfer formalities. They were waiting for him to be done with the World Cup, now that Portugal is out, things are starting to happen.
I don't want him though. After Herrera, we need an experienced and proven player who can help us maintain possession. Carvalho does not seem like that kind of a player.
Why? They are not similar players. In fact they are players whose styles complement each others.
Herrera can definately dictate a game as shown when he was managed by Marcelo BielsaThey are both solid defensively though. I'd imagine our attention will be going toward a player that can dictate a game. Herrera could to an extent, but it's not in his game to contaol games the way somebody like Modric or Scholes would.

Scholes wasn't as dominant at dictating games at 24 either. Herrera is a more mobile player and his short range game is superior to Scholsey.I never said he couldn't, but from what I've seen he's not going to dictate a game in the way that Scholes did for us. He's not an amazing passer of the ball, but that's no insult, as there's so much to his game regardless of that.

I don't blame you :-)My head hurts.
Have been saying the same thing for some time.Schneiderlin is a very tidy player. I remember myself and a few others put him up as consideration and he was laughed at, not sure why.
More excited about him than Vidal, Hummels et al?This is the one i would be most excited about if we got him.But that's why it will probably never happen.
We have that in Mata, what we need is a defensive midfielder to sit behind Herrera and Mata. They are both solid defensively though. Who or what is Zero Zero? If we learned anything from the past few years, it's that most rumours emanating from the Portuguese press are pure bollix.

Wasn't this PortuBall twitter account the same one who said we're signing Gaitan earlier today?
Having only seen the guy for a few minutes, I shouldn't judge him...but I can't help thinking we shouldn't give up totally on Fellaini just yet.
Lets see what LVG can do with him before adding another potential talent to the midfield.
You might argue the players are completely different, but having purchased Fellaini, Mata and Herrera in the last 12 months, I expect the next midfield player United buy to be the last for a number of years.
It would be € 43 mil, no? So a bit less than what we paid for Mata. Still would be too much for Carvalho!

People who watch him regularly. Would he make it in the prem and what player is he similar to?
