And with his fathers comments about him preferring his son to move to Spain. This could be one that ends in tears.

Ffs I really rate this guy, looks like such a solid player, would be ideal if we brought in somebody like Kroos.
The good new's is it won't be Barca this summer. And unless Madrid need their 4th DM I doubt it'll be them either.
You do know they still have a transfer embargo on them for the next two windows right?Barcelona will appeal and buy loads of reinforcements this summer I think. Doubt this guy will be one of them though. They won't spend £20m+ on a backup for Busquets.

Take it with a pinch of salt if you wish......or quite a lot of salt!
There are a few other media sites reporting the same so maybe there is something in this story. Not surprised by it as we've been scouting him for months. I can see the Kroos transfer being a long-drawn saga.I do think we will do our business very early with the exception of one signing or so that will be completed after the world cup, however, all deals will be done early on.

I don't think they will bother appealing this though, It wasn't like a Pogba or a Kakuta situation, the apparent charges relate to over 10 different players. The only reason Chelsea got away with it was because they settled out of court - Barca won't be able to do that with 10 different situations.Barcelona will appeal and buy loads of reinforcements this summer I think. Has anyone mentioned Osman yet?
Doesn't matter, we can always rely on you to bring the standard down.
Needless to say that you should have quoted and commented on the entire post and not only on the most insignificant part of it but thats how some of you think and act. Who am I to stop you?
It was the most tedious part. Which is why I quoted it, to show how tedious you are.
So you dont care about discussing at all. I see. Im impressed with your maturity. Keep it up.
I really hope so, that really would be the ideal scenario, could not be dealing with another stressful yet shitty summer transfer window.I do think we will do our business very early with the exception of one signing or so that will be completed after the world cup, however, all deals will be done early on.
Carvalho remains our most viable transfer target, I reckon. For all the player's we've been linked with, this is the one I expect.
Most viable and arguably the one that would have the greatest impact.
and the type of midfielder we actually need
Just get this monstrous being.

35m for a player that has had one good season in the Portuguese league is even better business than 7m on Bebe. Must be Mendes.
It seems Fergie, Charlton and the rest wanted a 'yes' man, someone who will be grateful for getting the job and not change things. Its backfiring. If not Moyes United were probably going to go for a foreigner and I don't think the old guard would've been too comfortable with that.
No issues with us signing a young potentially great player regardless of the cost. This has served us well in the past and we’ll reap the benefits of De Gea, Jones and Smalling for years to come.
I do have some concerns though. Based on what I’ve read in this thread Carvalho is a more defensive minded midfielder. To me Giggs has shown the type of midfielder we really need and it’s no shock that some of our best performances were with him in midfield, it’s just a shame that at his age there are quite a few limitations he has. Sir Alex knew this team better than anyone, and it’s no surprise his (Not Moyes’) preferred targets last summer were Thiago and Ander Herrera, 2 players who you wouldn’t typically associate with being great defensively. Also probably goes along way in explaining why Anderson lasted here as long as he did.
Any midfield combination of Fellaini/Carrick/Carvalho while being defensively solid will still bring about the issue of us having a hard time creating chances and playing terrible football. You could suggest that it would be great if we added Kagawa, Mata or Rooney and make it a 3 to add some creativity which would probably work, but probably won’t happen out of fear of upsetting whoever has to play a role they may not like or whom it may put on the bench.

Or we buy two midfielders.
