Will Mo Salah leave this summer?

If Perez or Flo are willing to pay so much in salaries then it must mean Madrid are rolling in dosh (otherwise you wouldn't make a ridiculous salary offer. Salah is not a marketable player like Ronaldo, etc).

If so, then Real will have to offer £250m starting price (can go up). If at this stage they claim poverty then it will sound a bit hollow. We won't keep Salah against his will but neither are we mugs anymore. Look at Coutinho. We just sold an £80m player for £150m a few months ago.
Gotta love how you pull numbers out of thin air. Coutinho suddenly an 80mil player so that you can support a point asking 300mil or whatever for salah.
Sure, if Perez makes that call, it would probably be hard to turn down 160-200m. I very much doubt Perez, or anyone else for that matter, would pay that kind of money for a player who's had one brilliant season. I also hope the management knows that we need to keep our best players if we ever want to be really competitive. If we were to sell him this summer we would in effect had sold our two best players in six months.
Yep, which is why I don't see him leaving this summer

Unless Real Madrid is hiring or suddenly Salah gets a trillion pounds offer from China, can't see that happening. He's already at the top dollar league.

No chance, no player should leave after having an outstanding season because A) You don't know if they can do it again (Mahrez) B) the pressure of delivering at a bigger club can crush you (Torres, Morata)

In fairness he had a good season last season at Roma

A footballer, let alone a top one wouldn't consider either of those 2 factors. You dont get to where they are with a shambolic self belief.

He's a likeable little player, but I think he's just had a fantastic season playing for a very good team. I don't see an undeniably world class player. He's very good, but the amount of goals he's scored has perhaps disguised more than a few average matches.

I think Liverpool would expect Coutinho money, but he's worth no more than 70 million at this moment. This time next year, if he's continued to improve and has banged in another 30+ goals there'll be a few teams circling with that 150 million ready. And fair enough - he'll have proved himself to be world class.

You’re right - if you’re living in 2009. 70M? Are you serious? Lukaku went for 90M just last season, van Dijk 75M... a player scoring 30 goals in the Premier League will not cost 70M. Perhaps add 100M to your equation?

I had been pulling £150m-ish "out of the air" since last season for Coutinho even though I admitted he wasn't worth that because I had been saying Mane is and was the better player. And I gave my detailed logic as to why I thought we shouldn't sell for less. Feel free to search it up.

Now I'm pulling the same numbers "out of the air" again. Silly me.

A player that has scored 30 goals once in a league is suddenly worth 130 million more than he was 9 months ago? Nonsense.

Neymar's transfer was a freak one, and Coutinho was bought on the back of it, much like Andy Carroll and Torres. The market hasn't added 100 million to every player overnight, it's simply creeping up as it always has.

Pool lose the final, draw with Brighton and end up in the Europa. Having already spent big on Keita they need the money, and after having lost the Brain, they accept £80m+Benzema from Real. They then invest the £80m on new deals for Henderson, Milner, Mignolet, Ings and Solanke. Please let it happen.

Not this summer, but if he has another world class season, I'd assume Real would be in for him. And if they get Neymar too by then, that's fearsome wing power.

Of course, Salah could easily taper off next season and score only 15 goals or so. Still a good amount, but would not be enough to attract Real.

Quarter of a billion for Salah, are you Rafateria in disguise?

Look at what Neymar went for, compare their talent and commercial appeal.

Has Neymar ever had a season like Salah's? Neymar's fee also was a release clause whilst Salah doesn't have one. He's had a Ronaldo/Messi like season and has only just arrived at the club, I can't see us letting him go for less than what Coutinho went for, a player who obviously wanted out.

He will not leave though.

Salah has just had a better season than Neymar had, and is currently a better player. Commercial appeal, sure, but just going to Madrid will make Salah very marketable.

People are selling Salah short. Ronaldo and Messi in 2006-2007 went from talented to top 3 player in the world, and the entire world went nuts on them. Salah just did that but apparently he's not even world class according to many.

Because he has had a freak season. Let's see if he can replicate that for the next 5 seasons before you can even consider him being in the same bracket as Messi/Ronaldo/Neymar

He's had about 3 or 4 like that, it's just that he still wasn't the standout star in that team.

What has Neymar (bar being overhyped) done so extraordinary to be put in the same level as those two. He has been the distant third best player in the world for one season of his career and he has managed to break 30 goals in all competitions only twice in his career in Europe. The most overrated player in the recent years.

I can't believe what I'm reading, really, I can't.

If you actually believe the two can be mentioned in the same sentence after one season, then there's literally no point trying to point out the obvious.

Of course that Neymar has been playing in top level for longer, but he has never been as good as Salah this season. And anyway, regardless of how you look at it, the difference between Neymar and Salah is much much smaller than between RoMessi and Neymar.

Why are people wasting their time. Salah had his best season ever, almost beating a record in the premier league goal record and reaching the Champions league final, he said himself he's very happy and why to leave after one season when things are getting even more excited in Liverpool. Keita and more players coming in, he will have a chance to win Premier league. There is no chance that he's leaving this season. Real would have the money Liverpool would be asking for their best player in the first place.

I'd say Suarez was a better player than Salah, until he proves consistency you really can't say otherwise. Hell, he's no better than Vardy in relation.

Suarez, sure. He outplayed Neymar in most of seasons in Barca and almost won Liverpool a title on his own.

Vardy, is this a bad joke?

Well, up until now he's not proven himself the better player. Vardy has a EPL winners medal. Salah doesn't.

Salah is happy at Liverpool where he is star man now. But if he is offered double or treble his wages by Madrid or Barca, then he would certainly look at this.

I'm always wary of attackers who get hight numbers under Klopp. Salah's a great player, but I reckon you should take his stats with a pinch of salt if you're a buying club.

Yes, keep using a team's performances to compare players to each other. Most ridiculous argument ever.

Was Pippen a better player than James because he has more rings?

I'd say no but they're targeting attackers when its the opposite end of the pitch that needs investment so they could be expecting one of their attackers to leave and if a €200+ mill bid comes in it'll be hard to say no.

Logically though i think he should and will stay.

Yes. True. Agree. True. Agree. That's the key

:D

I agree with the above points but neither Torres or Morata ever had a season to match Salah's current one.

Can’t see him going anywhere think he’ll stay another year after the year he’s had.

NO. But this time next year if Real or barca haven't got Kane (and by which time Ronaldo will only be scoring 15 as season)
