I hope when he joins he does not go into a shell and try and keep it simple.

He needs to carry on doing what he does, hopefully we don't take the fun out of him to make him more productive

He doesn't seem a character to do that. Every time he's tackled/loses the ball he stands up and has another go at full-back. He plays football like a kid in a kick-about, not like a disciplined, labored sort of footballer.

Can Zaha play on the left? It's been a while since we've had 2 interchangeable wingers (Giggs aside) and he would be perfect to play in the same side as Nani.

Seems to me from watching the Youtube videos that he is at his best down the left side

That would be good if Nani is still here next year, Kagawa is interchangeable too so exciting options we can work with.

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has apologised for a gesture he made towards Leeds fans during Saturday's Championship fixture at Selhurst Park.
Zaha was taunted over his impending transfer to Manchester United and responded by raising his middle finger towards the travelling support.
But he tweeted on Sunday: "I want to apologise for the gesture I did towards the Leeds fans in yesterday's game. Very unprofessional from me."
Zaha, 20, played all of the 2-2 draw.
In January, the England international agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal to join Manchester United. As part of the deal, Zaha will remain on loan at Palace for the remainder of this season.
Manchester United and Leeds remain fierce rivals despite the Yorkshire club's relegation from the Premier League in 2004.

Talk about endearing yourself to the fans already!

Can we keep him?!?!

Might be a nice thing to see for fans considering the leeds/United relationship. But I hope he cuts that sort of stuff out. Just look how much attention the gesture has got basically just because he is a future player for us. Once he is actually here he would face fines and such for it just because of the spotlight that United is under.

Been charged with improper conduct for the above gesture and will receive a one match ban if he doesn't appeal it. Same punishment as Suarez received last season.

He's started his United career off well IMO, giving the finger to those twats. Liverpool and City next please. :p

I haven't seen anything of the lad since he played us in the LC last season, but I watched a video of his involvement against Leeds, and now I'm officially exited. He wasn't exactly free of errors, but the way he was taking on players with pace, flair and technique was very impressive, and he seemed to have be promising at crossing the ball. He looks very athletic and powerful as well for his age. How's his shot btw?

Wilf just tasted what it's like to be Manchester United player in two aspects.

1. Hated by thousands of mental midgets.
2. Fined for showing what he thinks about haters.

On the 2nd thought, he should just ignore it all, but I guess, he's still in the 'young and learning' phase, so feck it.

As long as he's getting football, every week, it's a damn good loan deal.

First half over,Zaha as been great but against the run of play Brighton are two goals up.

Just got back from the Brighton game. Zaha has great ability on the ball. But clearly thinks he's an awful lot better than he is. Didn't release the ball early enough to many times. His attitude was awful today, constantly pushing players, screaming at ref and linesman.

I think he's going to get a shock when he arrives at OT.

Interesting, as he was on good form before this.

The whole team had a bad day today, i guess.

Yes, palace were poor, although his ability to hold the ball, twist turn and beat players was clear. By far their best player. Brightons third goal was a great team passing move.

Oh and a couple of great renditions of ooh ah Cantona were enjoyed by the home crowd.

Sounds like he's got character!! Great stuff!!

I'm sure they'll be no shocks.

So he's a winner then and hates losing?

Excellent he will fit right in.

Yes, when I saw him play against Huddersfield (another game Crystal Palace lost) he did moan quite a bit but you could tell it was because he hates to lose. He also worked a lot harder when they were losing, I was impressed with his determination.

Likes a moan? wants to win? Not satisfied until he's winning

He'll fit right in at Utd;)

Meh, nothing unusual about that for a player his age. Better that than him moping around or shying away from the game.

He'll get a shock at OT, but mainly because he'll find he goes from being one of the best players at the club to having to work harder just to keep up with everyone else. That'll go some way to getting rid of any flashness he might have picked up.

One thing Fergie doesn't too often get wrong is picking players with the right character, although to an extent I think he instills it in them.

I really like what I've seen of him anyway. Will be interesting to see how he handles the step up.

He'll have to find his way out of Wayne Bridge's pocket first.
