You're calling the move lazy, but completely unable to back it up.

If you're going to make statements then it's probably best to base them on some fact, i'm not sure how dealing with facts makes one narrow minded.

Just admit you've said something stupid, i'm not alone in pulling you up on it.

I have backed it up...have you not been reading? Whether you agree with me or not is your choice. I've not made a statement...I've made a suggestion...there is a difference. You are basically saying that I cannot make an observation as I don't possess the factual evidence to back it up. Well until that evidence becomes available I will continue to observe and assume...for the purposes of debate.

I might take that last line seriously were it not requested by an utter contradiction such as your good self.

Guessing his match tonight isn't televised anywhere? I've seen no rivers etc :(

You've said the transfer was a lazy one, yet you've given no explanation. How is it lazy? You've said something stupid, everyone who has read it knows it, but quelle surprise, you're too pigheaded to admit it.

Contradiction? I'm not sure what you're getting at here, or where you feel i've contradicted myself. I won't ask you to explain because it will probably be the kind of shite I wouldn't want to bother reading anyway.

I'll leave you to get back to making silly throw away remarks about things you know nothing of.

How is "If he is being bought to compete for a place then why not insist on him coming in straight away?"

in any possible way a reasonable response to the statement:

"Maybe we had to agree to loan him back this season in order to sign him or he would have been sold to another team who wanted to sign him? Or maybe we've done it because otherwise Palace simply wouldn't have accepted our offer considering them winning promotion is worth about 40 million."

The answer is in the statement. In fact there are two possible answers in there. What is the point in posting if you're just going to go around and around in circles when someone responds to you? All to save some face on the internet because you made a stupid comment that doesn't stand up to criticism. Repeating yourself over and over in order to get the last word. I don't mean in to sound harsh, as I'm sure most people have done the same in the past. Why not just let go.

edit: and looking at the rest of the thread you have backtracked somewhat. So that's cool. Now let's all agree that the notion it was a 'lazy' signing is a bit silly.

You were making a statement?

Seriously....I thought you were just speculating like me. You are probably spot on though. Your criticism is a bit harsh fella I've explained in detail where I'm coming from, if it's not accepted fair do's...can't win em all.

I will admit that "lazy" was obviously the wrong word to use.....and I've been battered for that alone without much focus on my explanation.....its fair enough I suppose. Perhaps if I replaced lazy with "unindustrious" that is possibly a better choice of adjective.

No I've provided an explanation....it's just you don't like it.

You have a vainglorious streak...it's ok I understand.

Geez this discussion is boring and tedious.

How'd Zaha do tonight, Drainy?

Crystal Palace lost apparently. Guess, no one has a idea yet how he did ?

Had a Poor game according to Twitter. Sell him, i say.

Just back from the game.

He had a pretty quiet game, to be honest. Not all his fault, the game was fairly scrappy- both because Huddersfield like to make it that way and because the referee was really finicky, breaking up play to have a word with players when there was no need often.

His moment is very natural, finding himself in space fairly regularly, but town made it difficult to get the ball to him by having a screening midfielder and when he got the ball a wide player dropped back to help out Jack Hunt.

I thought his first touch was pretty good, and he seems very tricky, he showed good awareness once or twice and played one decent flicked pass out wide (when he'd come infield). He does seem to have a bit of the Suarez about his dribbling style, far too often it is straight at the defender and Hunt dealt with it fairly easily- the one time he went outside him, he left him and got a decent cross in, although it was dealt with easily.

He is a decent size, I reckon about 5 foot 10- good speed and balance, and although he looks quite skinny he is fairly strong. I have to say, in the first half he didn't seem all that keen to battle in the air for the ball which was disappointing, but in the second half when he seemed more fired up and won a ball from a decent leap. I was impressed with his determination, he kept trying even when things weren't going his way and won the ball back a couple of times high up the pitch. He also put a bit of a shift in defensively too, tracking runners and helping his fullback when their defence got a bit stretched.

One last thing, Ian Holloway is a legend. Genuine mental case, he had this weird cap on and when the fans were booing his injured player, he pretended he was going to make a substitution and took a bow, taking his cap off as he did it.

He was pretty decent defensively, often being the screening midfielder that stopped the out ball to Zaha or Bolasie. Had one absolute Scholesesque tackle which lead to a yellow card.

Don't think he had the best game creatively, even his corners were a little off tonight and it looked like he'd been taken off direct free kick duty- but he did play one real class 30 yard pass with the outside of his foot.

Same old story though, lacks the stamina to play 90 mins competitively.

You're one of the most arrogant, conceited, blow hard know it all's in this place, yet I'm vainglorious  Behave.

Shit...I thought I was just having a discussion! If I get some help does it mean we can still be pals?

This is kinda gay but can anyone find me and PM me a link to the shirt Zaha wore for the medical. I really want it but can't find the bastard.

For the purposes of my continued frequention of this thread........I would just like to reluctantly admit to the following...

I have, after consideration, come to the conclusion that the following two words are, in line with popular opinion....well...a bit daft.....

"Lazy signing"

I would like to add that I have....since those words were posted...attempted to explain my thinking in a more sensible and detailed manner. It probably made little difference but it bought me round to probably what I was attempting to say in the first place.....starting a new thread would have been the smart move, but I live & learn.

I would also like to confirm that I bear no negativity or ill will toward Wilf Zaha or indeed The Neviller. I hope this pathetic confession allows me to move on from this nasty little episode in my RedCafe experience.

Should be in some highlights from the Charlton match on the football league show after MOTD...

Seems he had a quiet first half and a good second half yesterday. Heavily marked but moments of quality.

McEchran?

Whatever happened to him? Wasn't he suppose to be the new new Wilshere.
