I'm of the opinion that young players shouldn't be allowed to use social media until they have come to grips with the how to handle the press.

I wouldn't be surprise if he didn't mean it the way that comment is perceived and truly meant it as praise for Ole rather than a dig at Moyes.

If anything he seems too dimwitted to make a sly dig like that.

No one's that dim mate.

Does he think he's being clever/witty with that? Its idiotic and cowardly. Are United able to fine him 2 weeks wages for that sort of thing or is it completely up to Cardiff?

I wouldn't normally want a player coming out with anything like that but the season is already over, things like this are all we've got for entertainment. Let the circus continue.

If he had any sort of a work ethic he'd have kept his head down, concentrated on taking this opportunity to prove himself and made sure Moyes, or whoever, would have to consider him when he comes back. There's a good possibility that even Fergie would have loaned him out, considering the reports that he hadn't stepped up since arriving from Palace.

wtf? You're enjoying this nonsense as some sort of entertainment?

It's obviously a dig, just as obvious as Rio trying to kick up a stir the other day with his manager getting the sack comment.
Rio leaking teams, or so most people think, was a stupid thing as well. Just because Moyes doesn't announce the team the same way. Your kids are more mature than you Rio.

Hell yeah. It brings absolutely nothing postive and just causes headaches. No coincidence that the most active players on social media are those with the biggest question marks over their dedication to the game.

I don't understand this weird need fans have for communicating with the players and this weird need from players to post ridiculous posts and images about their everyday life. Not everything is shit but most of the time it really is.

If he did say that,it is nothing that as not been said on this forum.

Difference is, we're just fans. Zaha is a professional football player.

Surely you can see universe-size difference? I'm surprised you're trying to justify it  Unless we're on about different things here....

What a stupid thing to do. Yeah, his chances of making here are pretty much gone now considering Moyes is going to get time. Stupid stupid behavior. I said it in the Mentally weak thread and its the same here, keep the internal issues private ffs. How the feck have we gone from a club that kept everything close doors to this? Manager calling players mentally weak in public and now players having digs at him via social media.
Some of the stuff they are saying on Twitter is actually proving him right. Anyone with any brains wouldn't do this while still at a club. Hernandez hasn't actually said anything much himself, he has left it to his international manager to say it for him.

Assumption. It could easily be the case, it could also not be the case. For all we know David Moyes may actually have told Zaha he believes in him and has plans for him just not right now, this season. We're just assuming things because we dont have the full information
If he didn't have Ole in the picture then maybe there might have been more to it, however it's a clear a dig as you can get for me.

Why? Because it has a manager thats taken him on loan and calls him one of the best when he has the ball?

Rio has always been a clown on twitter. If that relationship has broken down as is being reported, he's the 1st person I'd pick that's likely to go to twitter about it slyly. Zaha is plain stupid and will get the treatment this deserves. Its hernandez that's shocked me if he's going to come out against moyes later. he's always been so respectable to everything United. I 100% blame the players for putting this out on the social media just as it was 100% wrong for moyes to call them mentally weak post the fulham game. These things should remain in house.

These things will need to be dealt with very swiftly. There's a lot going on internally it seems that simply cant come out in the open.

I wonder what he will say, if Ole drops him?

"Shit"

I could easily see him not starting the next game due to how well he did as an impact sub and the fact that Cardiff's wideplayers have in general done well for them this season, plus theres Daehli. That doesnt mean he's going to post on twitter about how he's angry and confused though

I honestly think Moyes is bad at choosing his words. They weren't mentally weak, they lose concentration too easily. That is a different matter. I think he is finding it a shock doing so many interviews and everything you say being scrutinized and a lot of the time misunderstood.

Treat players badly, expect to get something back.

You sign a young, talented player in the January transfer window when it is known that the current manager is leaving. You don't tell him that, and then Moyes comes in and proceeds to just never use him once, despite desperately persisting with Young and Valencia.

Any chance of going to the World Cup, meanwhile, evaporates for him as he rots away in the reserves. Absolutely pointless signing and I'm glad common sense prevailed and he's out on loan.

I'd be absolutely fuming if I was Zaha. Fuming.

Maybe so but one can only judge from what they hear. Just like in Zaha's case where there is an off chance that he actually is so thick that he doesnt see how this will be interpreted when it comes to Moyes but you have to take what the more obvious option is. As I said, someone like chicha coming out with comments is striking to me. It has to be quite bad for him to do so.

Fuming? Perhaps so. Have a go at the manager on twitter? Its fecking stupid.

Yeh, that's a bit pointless.

He's a young guy though who isn't massively bright so that's the consequence.

Still feel sorry for him.

I do think he should have gone on loan much earlier too but there's no condoning what he's done. How the hell can people be so dim I dont know. Twitter ffs.

He's not good enough Al, despite what people say on here (many who think Lingard is better than Young) his movement off the ball is downright atrocious. He's nowhere near Manchester United quality, even when we're fecking shit.

Spot on. I love how our fans only blame players like the part from the manager was good.

The cronology of events:

- Signed (and lied) by SAF after apparently refusing you.
- SAF gets replaced by Moyes.
- He plays every game on the pre-season when he was the best player
- But then he only gets 60 minutes on the next 6 months losing every chance to go to World Cup
- Moyes gives some bad comments about him
- Goes on loan at Cardiff and instantly finds some form.

That wasn't professional by him (and he shouldn't have said that) but on the other hand I completely understand why he did that. A lot of people would have done the same if they were in his position.

Another player with no brain and can't be trusted in front of a computer. Nothing new here.

How do you put it right, sack the manager and then if they don't like the new manager, they pull the same tricks again. Sit them all down and lay down the law? It's an awkward one. If he gets new players will they like his methods or is it just the players being soft. That they have been mollycoddled for so long.

Maybe that's true, but there's still no real justification for not using him in the League Cup and meaningless CL games. I appreciate the manager didn't even want him but if you say you'll give everyone a chance, you have to do it to be fair to him.

As I say, I just don't get why he was signed. What was the purpose? A joining present for Moyes?

Zaha's ego is getting in the way of him getting some regular football at Old Trafford. He just needs to put his head down, stfu, and concentrate on his football.

This a little bit OTT, he hasn't been that good tbh.

It's called chronology, al. Or lack-of-ability-to-see-into-the-future. He was signed before Fergie made the decision to walk away.
