Yes, that's right. Their intentions might not materialise, but it's the principle. Simply absurd.WeasteDevil said:It wont do that. The problem lies in the fact that some of them want that to happen.
RedCanuck said:I think we're all nervous about the Glazer takeover but the SU way is definately not the way.
If you wish to see a thread about each organisation then I will petition for threads about FCUM to be moved. We all understand that the groups in opposition are varied, SU is being used (at least by me) as short-hand for the numerous groups that are interested in forming FCUM. If you wish to provide an title that we can refer to them as a group then do so, otherwise it will stand.A1Dan said:Why why why why why can people not differentiate between the different organisations involved here? This thread is about FCUM, who are not SU. They are only linked in as far as they are both anti-Glazer, and share members. As do various other fanzines and groups such as IMUSA.
This is a rather facile argument. If the particular group that you are referring to does not support the creation of 'FC United' then it is not covered in the thread topic.A1Dan said:It makes me very worried when people group them all as one, and then take a "them and us" approach. Why? Becuase if you're talking about all these groups in one sweeping statement, then who are you talking about?
This thread is about 'FC United', not the 'Anti-Glazer movement'. The 'them and us' approach has been coopted by the 'Anti-Glazer movement'.A1Dan said:I'll tell you who: The Anti-Glazer movement. And if you're taking a "them and us" approach against the whole Anti-Glazer movement, then where does that put you?
Stupid choices should not be condoned by sensible people.A1Dan said:As others have said, it's completely valid to take whatever approach to this horrible situation you deem fit, but I just don't get why people spend their own time attacking other people's approach.
Your question was simple and fair. And yes, it's piss-plain obvious that threads discussing FC United in its own right should be in the Football Forum. Threads relating to it as a (one and only) Manchester United issue should be in the Manchester United Forum. Of course, discussions that appear to belong in the latter category will often be open to debate, so... I think I'll go and make a cup of tea.RedCanuck said:I was looking for an explanation or clarification why a club other than Manchester United were being discussed in the Manchester United forum. Once FC United kick-off they are surely their own (and different) club.

Seems to me that you have some ulterior motive for having SU ,IMUSA.FC United etc moved from the Manchester United ForumRedCanuck

"Glazerites v. The Coalition"
Lines drawn on the pitch. Families torn apart. Brother against Brother.
I'm going to go ahead and write a journal about this all year. Write a script next summer, and sell it to Hollywood and make myself millions.
This is my stand...and I'm going to make it.

I can't imagine going there without an affadivit proving I was conceived by George Best at Wembley during halftime in the EC final and a picture of my birthmark that is shaped like Billy Meredith's moustache.
That place has become the home for the Holier Than Holier Than Thou's.

Just wait until the sequels.giggzy said:I don't like it either.....RI that is. That said, this place is more laid back, but also full of Anti-SU/IMUSA/FCUM/PhoenixFund sentiments.
Anyway.......Glazerites Vs The Coalition. Could be a great fight.
I have no ulterior motive, just a Manchester United fan. If you believe I have an ulterior motive I'm curious what you think it is.mickthered said:Seems to me that you have some ulterior motive for having SU ,IMUSA.FC United etc moved from the Manchester United Forum

"Manc Wars I - The Tampa Menace" - The story of MUFC/FCUM in their first year together. It will have people crying in their seats and then standing on them cheering @ the end. The gamut of emotions will be run front and back. That will lead us to...
"Manc Wars II - Attack of the Scholes" - The Ginger Prince will rise and lead the Shirts to victory! But who really wins in the end? Is it the evil Corporate Empire that strengthens its grip? What does this mean for the David Re-Bellion and FCUM?
All of this, of course, will be concluded in:
"Manc Wars III - Revenge of the Smith" - Alan Smith will once again play steady first team football. But will he still be @ United? Or will the SheepShorn-Troopers, adorned in their dazzling Whites...return from the depths of administration, and join forces with the Corporate Glazerites, hellbent on taking United down that same, dark road, and wage the final relegation battle against MUFC, FCUM and the Coalition forces...to decide the fate of all - forever!?!
After that, I'll buy an island and take 15-20 years to mellow out.

The only worry is that, it could all be a huge let down. Fans will probably point to the original Manc War trilogy and say, 'The original Manc War Tril was a lot better, altho' Return of the Djemba was a tad overrated'.

Even as a kid I knew that Ewok Djemba-Djemba was garbage. Just a pathetic attempt to sell stuffed animals to the Day Trippers.
