Who are Manchester United's five new Brazilian signings?

Unless he's the new Big Ronaldo.. I couldn't care if we sign him or not.

United will not be signing Brazilian striker Bruno Gomes from Desportivo Brasil.
The 17-year-old had strongly been linked with a move to Old Trafford ever since a successful trial at the club but United have decided not to follow through on the deal.
Gomes’ representatives will now begin negotiations with clubs in England, Italy and Brazil who are interested in signing the striker.
Speaking exclusively to The Peoples Person, Gomes’ representative Alexis Malavolta admitted the young Brazilian was upset at the news.
“Manchester United and Bruno Gomes did not reach an agreement and he will no longer go to Manchester,” he confirmed.
“He is very upset because he was focused on playing in 2014 for United.
“Manchester also has a stake in the economic rights B9 but released him to deal with another club.”
Up until now, Gomes’ representation has held back from negotiating with any other club interested in him but they will now be looking elsewhere to secure a new club for the youngster.
Malavolta continued: “Paulo Conceição and I, as representative of Bruno Gomes, will talk to the clubs who are interested in Italy, England and Brazil.
“It was just a case of waiting for the official position of Manchester. Now that has been released, we will seek the best for Bruno.”
Gomes had become a fans’ favourite even before signing on the dotted line at United because of his presence on Twitter where he happily engaged in conversation with United fans.
He has had a prolific 12 months in Brazil, securing the Golden Boot for the U17 Championship in Brazil (scoring seven goals in one game along the way) as well as winning his debut title with Brazil’s U17national side.
It is a shame that we won’t get to see what Gomes can do at Old Trafford but I wish him the best of luck with whatever club he goes to.

Bit of a pity if we're not signing a really talented young Brazilian because his club are acting the dick. Seemed like a done dead too and he was really up for coming here which is always a positive.

Oh for feck sake, really? We've all been excited about this kid as well.

But reading that, it says that we didn't reach an agreement with the player so how did you get that his club have acted the dick?

So have we actually signed any of uor "five new" signings?

Fact the player's upset about it kind of makes me disappointed that we don't want him. He clearly has the talent, bangs in the goals and all, and he clearly had huge desire to be a success at United. Could be a big mistake in a few years time - we'll see.

I read a few articles and only posted one of them. The other one was suggesting it was the club that was the problem. Either way it seemed like that player was very much in favour of joining us so something happened to make us change our minds at the last minute.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that negotiations between Manchester United and Desportivo Brasil have broken down meaning Brazilian striker Bruno Gomes won’t be joining the club.

With stuff like this we just simply have to put our faith in our scouts. This is their job and area of expertise afterall.

He seemed to have had his heart set on coming here and our fans had taken him as one of ours already. It's a shame.
I didn't know we had a stake in his economic rights.

In fairness to the club we seem to have released any claim over them now anyway leaving him free to join whoever he wants.

Other than that though the chances are we'll never hear from this kid again. These Brazilian wonderkids are ten a penny and the likelyhood is he'll end up playing in some minor league for his career. Wish him all the best but that's the sad reality.

It wasn't about failing to come to an agreement the agreement was in place and united pulled out of it for whatever reason. Maybe it's because of how highly we rate Wilson or someone else we have coming through. Gomes looks a very composed and confident player and I'm sure he'll go on to have a good career

According to ManUtdbr(Not an official site), this happened:

Bruno Gomes still isn’t a Man United player. And as negotiations go, he’s still far away from Old Trafford.
The negotiations between Manchester United and Traffic Sports, the investment group that owns Bruno, has reached a standstill due to the two parties not coming to a financial agreement. The reason for the disagreement could be that the player is wanted by a lot of clubs after he was called up for the youth national team. The clubs are: one more from England, two from Italy and three from Brazil.
However, Bruno’s desire still is to play for Manchester United. United also has a percentage of Bruno’s rights, which can still favour the club in the chase for the striker.
As Bruno turns 18 only in July/2014, he can’t complete a move for an international club. So the negotiations may continue until then.

So we can hopefully sign him next year? It's not clear cut done and dusted?

So which is which? Have negotiations broken down or just hit an impasse? Irrespective of the risk posed by such a transfer I hope we continue monitor his progress and hopefully this is not another bout of Dithering Dave's syndrome.

Hopefully, he seems a really good prospect and is ridiculously passionate about the club.
Seems unlikely given the quotes from the agent in the previous article though.

Its Ljajic light. Sounds like we had first option on him and we've decided to opt out of it for whatever reason, maybe because Moyes is lining up another striker to replace Rooney and has no long term plans to involve Gomes? Who knows

Can't believe anyone is overly fussed about this one. None have seen him play and however goodnhe is, he's a million miles away from our first team, with some very good players in his position already.

So? If you're not fussed then you don't need to worry then do you. Others take an interest in our youth system, this kid is very likeable and by all accounts sounds very promising. If we miss out on him, then of course those of us that have been looking forward to him would be gutted. Imagine if we had missed out on Rafael and then see him go on to be a success at one of our rivals.

His father told me that United have decided they dont want him anymore and they dont understand why

I talk to him on twitter @DRPAULOPROC he's been very open about the whole thing

I thought we had a deal where we had first option on any player for a set fee which is already in place.

DITHERING MAN UTD SET TO LOSE BRAZILIAN WHIZ BRUNO GOMES TO SAO PAULO

Manchester United are set to pass on signing Desportivo Brasil striker Bruno Gomes.
The teenage forward was all set to move to United this season when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge, but the transfer has since stalled following David Moyes' appointment.
Gomes was expected to kickoff his United career with the club's U21 team, but is now in talks with Sao Paulo and could be lost to the Premier League giants.
He had tweeted regularly before Moyes' arrival about United and his excitement about his move.
Gomes admitted to one fan last week he "didn't know" if he would be "moving to Manchester".
United have a player recruitment agreement with Desportivo Brasil and there were high hopes of Gomes being the first graduate to make the breakthrough in England.

scored 25 goals in 10 matches so far this season. Last rumour I heard was that Traffic wanted £4m for him, but United wanted to pay £2m

Does not surprise me the way our executive team have gone about their business this summer.
