Film Which well known Movie have you never seen?

Okay so you definitely didn't watch far enough, if you think the swim race is relevant. Also that's Dakota Fanning, possibly the only competent child actor in the history of Hollywood.
Your need to make everything so dramatic and extreme is strange.

I’ve never seen Blade Runner, though people keep telling me to watch it.

I showed my 14 year old Alien last week, she was bored out of her mind and kept asking when it would get scary.
Alien won't work on younger minds. You only appreciate the film in all its glory when you're much older. Blade Runner is similar, I feel.
She may enjoy Aliens more though.

Was the gore at the time remarked upon as too much or was it just of it's time? If they tried it now it'd never get a release!
It was. If I remember right, that was when critics started going on about 'ultraviolent' films.
Total Recall was as well, but the violence in it was more comedic, eg where he uses that passer-by as a human shield on the escalator:lol:

Its just the best.

The premise - fecking hell it's not Predestination! I get the premise and know what it is about, drunk bodyguard hired by rich family, cleans up his act, bonds with child (weird), she gets abducted, she get's abducted "creasy, save me", now let me torture someone in a car while the director uses a very yellow filter. It was naff, boring, very teenage boy film.

If you know what it's about, why are you pretending you think it has something to do with a swimming race or is mainly filmed in a bedroom? Would have saved us a lot of back and forth. I like pointless arguments as much as anyone, but you make it into an art form.

Scarface is the one that immediately springs to mind that most people I know have seen and I haven't. Not sure why, it just doesn't appeal to me.

Not even a big Gladiator fan, but I genuinely wonder what makes people feel the need to go over the top like this.

If Gladiator is one of the worst films you've ever seen then you either have shit taste in movies or you've watched very, very few.

for me:
all Indiana Jones
all Star Wars but one (was dragged into Ep.1 by a friend)

Me neither, and also not The Wire. We watch a series for fun before going to bed and I'm not interested in watching something fairly grim/depressing at that time. But then I'm not a series person anyway, so the list of good ones that I haven't seen is quite long.

I haven't seen breaking bad' but I stopped watching series after Dexter. I just didn't like how they hooked you in.

I tried watching The Wire, though, but found the first episode so boring I fell asleep and never went back.

All these new Disney Pixar films like Frozen

Most trashy Marvel films and shows so essentially most Marvel films and shows

I've always been more into TV shows than Films really - probably as I prefer having loads of episodes of the characters and 'world' to watch and invest in, rather than just a two hour film - so there's loads that I've not yet got round to watching!

I'm really not into Sci-Fi, Comic films, or overly violent / gangster ones. So I've never seen any of the Star Wars films, Marvel franchise, or Godfather films - or any others of those types.

As regards the types of films - Comedies and Thrillers - that I do watch a good amount of, then I've never yet seen of the Monty Python films, The Big Lebowski, Seven, The Talented Mr Ripley...

Well alright, maybe then. But you should totally also watch Blade Runner - if you don't mind the slow film-noir vibe.

I don't mind the sucking in, but I just have to accept it can sometimes take a couple of days before I can watch again, and several months to get through a long season.

Breaking Bad really is worth it, in my opinion. It grows in quality throughout the seasons, it's not overly long, and it sticks the landing. Not something that can said for many series.

The Wire and Breaking Bad are probably my #1 and #2 favourite series of all time. They're honestly worth persevering with I think.

Also are people putting Frozen as a joke? If you haven't inadvertently watched it with your kids, I've no idea why you'd bother.

I don't really have any opinion on BB, I'm sure it's good, I just hated how Dexter got the viewer, me, so hooked and decided I didn't want to be so enthralled by a tv series again.

Maybe I've over come that but I did watch Narcos quite attentively, although I've been "watching" Narcos Mexico for almost two years now so I'm probably ok.

I think I've seen (too) many of old and new classics and blockbuster.

Never seen any of the Marvel movies, though. No Avengers, Iron Man etc. Haven't watched any of the Mad Max movies either.

Marvel Movies
Barbie
Dune/Dune 2
1917
The Banshees of Inisheerin
Everything everywhere all at once

Honestly pretty much anything in the past 4 years. I've not seen a massive amount of movies in that time.

Cor blimey guvnor, you haven't watched the Prestige? It's about magic tricks it is.

You could have just said you don't really watch movies

I think I’ve watched a great share of movies but had a tendency to miss out on so many fan favorites. Always amusing to see the reaction from others when I tell them the ones I haven’t seen.

Anything with the death of a beloved animal character (unless I didn't know about the aforementioned death beforehand), can't really stomach it, always gets the waterworks going.

Because I don't like a film?! Jesus Christ, I finally get it now, you all lack self awareness.

I'm so sorry I didn't enjoy nor get the incredible hype over a film you clearly rewatch every week.
