He dreams of United? Good lad. Get that boy here.
Yep, he is the biggest muppet fantasy of this summer.

That is just a weird picture. I mean whats the reasoning behind it?
Is there some time-warp shit going on here?Would love to be a fly on the wall during transfer discussions between our management team and scouts
I do hope we have a shortlist and we are sounding things out
after the success of buying established talent last summer I hope we buy a top midfielder alongside a younger more obscure talent like Gundogen from Nuremberg
When asked which position he (SAF) is looking to strengthen, the boss replied: “Not necessarily midfield. I think with top players it doesn’t matter what position they play in. I think if I get a top player in, it adds to the team and it improves it...."
Might as well give up any hopes of signing a midfielder lads. Fergie just doesnt do midfielders
If at all we really haven't signed a central mid come september, I think the Caf will implode
That really does depress me. We're going to spunk our budget on a top striker, I can feel it.Might as well give up any hopes of signing a midfielder lads. Fergie just doesnt do midfielders
It's gone beyond a joke if Ferguson fails to sign a midfielder this summer.
The lack of central midfield signings over the past few years is baffling, he's had money to spend and spent it on players who are now looking well out of place. I'm starting to think his eyes are like this as he's looking at the pitch.
Why has he been ignoring the midfield? Does he think ours is good enough? Does he think there are no players out there who can improve our midfield? Does he want to show his critics that he can win things with a "weak" midfield? How does it change things if we sack Phelan?
1) He probably rates our current options higher than others.
2) He doesn't think winning the midfield is as important as some make out. Ultimately to SAF creating and scoring opportunities matters more than controlling possession.
Probably both points are slightly true too. But we can also improve on our options certainly in that area.
I'd honestly rather us sign 2 good, solid midfielders than Ronaldo or Bale. The midfield situation has become that badI think what SAF is saying that he will break the bank for another massive signing (like RVP) and he think that it will be a more sure way of keeping United at the top.
He can see that we can do with a quality midfielder, but if we could sign Ronaldo or Bale, that is what he is going to do. These players are not central midfielders. If they (the players mentioned and a couple of others) end up in other clubs, I'm sure he will sign a quality central midfielder.

I wonder if the "wind of change" comment might mean he's got he's eye on one or two who weren't available before?

It was preceded by "not necessarily a midfielder" so maybe I'm being hopelessly optimistic!
