We are so lucky there are worse teams. We are going to be fighting to stay up.
And I say worse teams, they are all capable of getting points here and there. That first 20mins Vs Newcastle AT HOME says we are going to struggle

Ipswich winning is bad, bad news for us. We are going down - don’t see a way out of that unless we change this formation and that ain’t happening. We can’t buy our way out. I said 8/9th at start of the season. Never thought it would be this bad.

Hopefully relegated then this lot of players can feck off and we can start again.

Ipswich have beaten Chelsea. We’re seven points off the relegation zone and another defeat incoming next weekend. This is desperate stuff.

Any position in the bottom 5. We've been run into the ground, by poor owners with even poorer decisions.

I don't think even this team is poor enough to get pulled into a relegation battle but t is no longer completely out of the question. But it is one group of players you don't want to rely on in a relegation dogfight it is this group of players.

I think we will stay up but we are looking at bottom half finish and deserve no more.

Van Nistelrooy managed to get a tune out of these hopeless huddys.

Amorim needs to realise - pronto - that he doesn't have the personnel to play the system he wants or the money to bring in all that he needs in the short term and revise his tactics.

We cannot continue losing game after game in the same pathetic fashion.

I lived through one relegation. I don't want another.

The home game against Soton is now a massive game. Lose that one and things go really bad.

I’ve seen Southampton playing better football than us this season, but they can’t score goals ( like us) and their defence is far worst than ours.
I can’t believe I’m saying it, but we’ll be pretty evenly matched for this fixture.

Crap versus Crappier.

It took a relegation for big clubs like Villa and Newcastle to reset things and I wonder if it might be the same here?

We would have to make massive massive changes, for too long we've stuck with players that deep down we know will never be the answer.

Also winning the Championship would help to build a winning mentality again.

Genuinely frightened about where things are going at the moment. 17th would be a relief right now. I am dreading the Liverpool game. Another 7-0 wouldn't be a shock. We are already in a tailspin. God knows what a battering by the Scouse will do to morale.

Lets see. We have 22 points so far.

Under Amorim, we have 7 points from 8 PL games. If we extrapolate that as-is, we'd get another ~17 points, putting us at 39 points. That's been enough for 15th or 16th lately. We've massively underperformed our xG though in the 8 games, and you'd expect some correction over time. That 8 games could've and should've been 11 points, which would mean about ~26 points from our remaining 19 games.

That should be around 48 points, which is about 11th place. I didn't vote in the original poll but I know I would've picked 4th before the season started :annoyed:

They are where they are because this is a very average squad. Amorim will be planning to spend big in the January window.

I'm still good with my choice (as I can't edit it I see)

This relegation chat is nonsense... We're on for 44 points as things stand!!
But our form is on the decline, and it’s likely that will accelerate if the pressure created by more bad results continues to grow. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but we need to get to 40 points asap to calm everything down. Right now I don’t see where a win is coming from.

It would catastrophically undermine the manager's credibility. The players would be conspiring and the press would smell blood.

If any of these players had an element of pride they would run their nuts off and give 110% a team doing that no matter how poor technically does not get hammered but they do not give a feck. None of them.

I'm not going to revise my prediction when Amorim took over. I think we'll finish 8th - mainly just from the hope that we will have a period where we go on a good run and pick up some decent points. A string of decent results at some points does a lot in this league for teams in the bottom half.

Reading now that Ratcliffe is unwillig to invest properly in the sqaud this Jan I expect us to finish around 13-15.

I know it probably seems like an extreme take, but we're in relegation form by any standards and if we end up in a relegation battle, would anyone back these spineless, lazy players to out-fight the other teams fighting for their lives? I wouldn't.

We beat City away in the middle of some awful results, life is funny sometimes, watch us beat scouse then lost to Southampton.

Voted 6th but would now say 12th, be out of the FA Cup to Arsenal and won’t go far in Europa. Will only be better if we can sell to buy.
