Here's a novel idea, lets discuss his potential transfer in the transfer forum.

So now that its been confirmed he's asked for a transfer where will he be come next season?

Personally I think he'll still be at Utd. Can't see us selling him to another English team and I just don't see him playing in Spain.

Bayern? PSG?

Real Madrid.

Yeah, i cant see him anywhere else other than United, if he's going to be playing in England. Otherwise, he could be off to anywhere else in the world and i really wouldn't be bothering much.

I have heard rumours that Chelsea are after him, be a nice welcome home present for Maureen.

What about a poll?

I think that he will end up at Bayern. Pep will sort his head out.

Madrid's not the worst shout, I don't really rate their strike force.

We won't sell him to anyone we don't want to so I think that'd rule out domestic rivals. Real Madrid are the obvious ones. Money, prestige and in a top league.

What about Barca?

Rooney and Messi together.

Well I say together, Rooney will be on the bench.

With those quotes i last seen with Higuain/Benzema, followed by the "Gill in Madrid" talk. Im pretty sure he will end up in Real if not convinced to stay (Dont see it happening again)

Wherever it is, let's hope we can get a good player in exchange for him too, be it Verratti, Modric or Kroos!

Would be quite interesting to see him playing abroad.

Yeah and we'll replace him with Suarez.

I just wouldn't be surprised.

City might bid the highest by a distance, and Rooney might express an interest to go. Local, easy to switch. He was considering it last time.

There's a limit to how many teams come in for these players. How appealing is Spain going to be for him as well?

Give Madrid 10-20 million and Rooney in exchange for Ronaldo.

Do you remember when Heinze wanted to go to Liverpool.

There isn't a chance in hell Utd would sell to City.

Maybe not, but it might take some very firm resolve. Heinze could be thrown off anywhere. Rooney won't be so simple to get rid of - huge wages and limited pool of teams in for him. Chelsea is probably the most likely.

I highly doubt that Bayern are going to match his wages. They have enough players in the squad in his position and they are set to sign Robert Lewandowski.

Paris, Madrid or Chelsea, I reckon.

Where did these stories come out that he considered city last time? Sure they were interested, but I doubt Rooney would have ever considered going there.

He'll be in for some terrible treatment if he decides to make the switch to City. I highly doubt he'll make that mistake and besides, no way would we sell him to City. IF he moves within England then it's probably Chelsea but hopefully it's somewhere abroad. That being said, I think he'll stay eventually.

He'll be at United I reckon

If he can't be "thrown off" , he'll stay here. And I'm quite sure the likes of Madrid (selling Higuain) and PSG have the money to pay for his fee and wages.

Chelsea. They'll pay us feckloads, need a top class striker and he will make them a lot stronger. Also, he won't have to leave the country. Can see us selling if they bid around £50m, and we would be ace for them unfortunately.

A fair few of the journalist who cover United have said that Rooney was a bit freaked out by the reaction to the last contract saga, especially when those idiots turned up outside his house. I don't think he'll want to stay in Manchester if he's moving clubs, so City are out I think. He's almost certainly sounded out terms with a few clubs at this stage and knows where he'd prefer to go. I'd say it's between Chelsea, Bayern and PSG. I doubt Madrid will go for him.
