What is Luis Suarez worth?

Rooney clearly hasn't been as good as Suarez, whatever spin is put on it. Suarez is having an Henry/Ronaldo type season so far.

This could simply be a one-off season for him to be honest. However, there was a great deal of spin on Rooney's season and whatever he has done, is simply not up there with Suarez at this time. For what it is worth, the most league goals Rooney has ever scored is 27 in 34 games, but Suarez is going to beat that with games to spare.

Yeah, wouldn't surprise me; it's a huge standard to maintain. He's playing a fair bit better in general than Rooney did that season, literally to the extent that I think you could halve the goals he's scored and still be left with a superior performer. Rooney was quite unremarkable for his all round play that year, where as Suarez is just much more consistent with his threat and so much more creative.

No, I can't get enough of him winding you lot up. You're all so outraged every time he does something.

It is odd, isn't it. It's almost as if we've watched him dive, racially abuse one of our players, and bite another player.

credit to Suarez - very skilled at conning the ref

he's light years ahead of Young or Januzaj who ain't fooling anyone

retrospective bans would sort it out

The suggestion that Rooney has been anywhere near his level is ridiculous.

Glad he isn't getting anywhere near the title this season. cnuts like him dont deserve it.

Even though there is "SUPPOSEDLY" contact on his right leg, it's the left leg that's interesting. It's the left leg that magically decides "feck it, I'll fall here".

He's usually quite good at diving, but that's poor form from Suarez there. Dived with the wrong leg, tut tut tut.

I don't mind the diving all that much myself. Sometimes I even admire the craftiness of it. All that rolling around and screaming out in pain though, that winds me up no end. I think we've only ever had one player who did this on occasion and that's Nani, and I genuinely think he has a ridiculously low pain threshold. He's just a bit of a wimp. No-one at Arsenal does it, no-one at City, no-one at Spurs...I just don't see how anyone could defend it. It's the most embarrassing thing in football.

All this Suarez business of pretending he is injured after he has done a dirty tackle is rather annoying.

Have you seen Giroud's finger snap?

He's the biggest girl out there. He had the slightest of kicks yesterday and the stretcher guys were about to come on before they realised it was just Olly again.

It was mental when he did that for about three games in a row last year after stamping on the defenders' ankle but he seems to have cut that out. It's just the occasional dive and the frequent rolling around in agony these days. I just wish he was like Januzaj who just takes the kicks, dusts himself off and jumps right back up. It's something I end up finding really admirable now when in reality it should just be the norm.

Shearer or Murphy pointed out last night that it was Guzans knee that made the slight contact. I think they had a point. He certainly was looking for it, but I am always in favour of them being given when contact is made. Keeper was silly to rush out like he did.

On Norwegian telly they showed a close-up of his right leg being taken out by the knee of the keeper. Watching it closely you see the angle of his ankle being twisted around. I think it was a penalty, the theatrics actually works against him, with the flailing of the arms and so forth.

Erm... I can't be the only one who thinks he a) didn't dive and b) it was a penalty?

He goes down easily, but there is contact there. Danny Welbeck does that sort of thing all the time for us.

Yeah.

He's never wound me up what you talking about? If anything it was your comments that tried to wind people up. Will be great when that buck toothed despicable fecker leaves you as he is a quality player. But if I was you I wouldn't get too excited as your sitting above us know but can't see that lasting. Plus your captain is well and truly a liability now.

I said you lot. As in your supporters in general.

Stevie is not yet a liability.
