What is Luis Suarez worth?

My post from July. Like Kraftwerker will no doubt soon be along to say "throw enough sh*t some will stick".

You can even forget Ronaldo money. Barring any stupidity Suarez gets up to from now until summer (world cup coming up, lets see if he fancies being benched for 10 games before Brazil), he is obviously the next Galactico.

And each and every new Galactico has the world transfer fee broken to attain them.
Give yourself a pat on the back Dumbstar!

I said it the other thread, he isn't cup tied for Europe would be nice to see one of the Spanish clubs go for him

At least when he goes Liverpool will go back to midtable. Cant wait for our head to head race for Europa league places. :p

For his own sake, he needs a move as soon as possible. With his quality he deserved to be in a team that can dominate domestically and in Europe. Bayern is the prime candidate, with him up front they'd be unreal. The fecking bastard.

He's been brilliant this season - I hate him as a player and a person, but he's truly world class. Probably the best player in the PL this season.

Agreed. He's been excellent. I think the only argument against Suarez is that his record against the big clubs isn't as great as one would like it to be, but maybe this season he'll improve on this. I remember Ronaldo went through this stage where fans said he didn't score/perform in big games, but he improved on that. Suarez will most likely do the same.

Perez must be licking his chops after tonight. Although they would have to pay Bale type money to prize him away.

Lol Barney. No if you see posts from only a few weeks ago apparently he's worth around £60m now.

Liverpool have got the hottest asset in world football right now. Simple as that.

He's a joy to watch. Pure unadulterated joy. His finishes today were Henry-esque. He's getting close to that standard - that's how good he has been.

He makes things happen. This guy needs to play at the highest level and he could win the Ballon D'Or.

He'd score 50 a season easy playing for either Barca or Real. Hopefully he fecks off there soon enough. Though surely Bayern would fancy him too?

Pep doesn't like troublemakers.

Come on Madrid, take the cnut to Spain for £150m so Liverpool can go back to being shit.

Pretty please?

Not really. Barca and Madrid in previous seasons would have similar stats.

What is that relevant to? Different league altogether, you rarely see one player score that ratio of goals alone in this league. The closest probably being Kevin Phillips for Sunderland when he hit 30 or something.

 Is he still worth £30-40m lads?
How much do you think he's worth? Worth more than £40m but I think it would leave you in a bad place if you sold him, similar to what has happened to Spurs.

Had he not gotten a 10 game suspension I would have said that they would hold out for 40 million. As it is, anything around 30million, even 25 probably they would take now because he'll be out for so long.

 Funny.
Not sure what I was thinking at the start of the season with that valuation, probably because he wanted to leave so much so I thought they'd take a lowish price. They wouldn't take anything less then 80m now.

And a pound. Don't forget that pound in the end, it is even more important.

I fully expect him to go in summer at Madrid for 80 000 001 - 90 000 001 pounds.

If they buy Suarez, they will be unstoppable.

They are Madrid after all though. The Galacticos version 174 won't probably work.

Bet Madrid wish they'd spent the Bale money on him.

And it goes without saying that so do Spurs.

No doubt. Look at the butterfly effect in such case. Real would probably be top of La Liga, Liverpool would be mid-table or worse, and Arsenal might be running away with the league as Suarez in, Benzema out (and to Arsenal). Spurs would be sitting a bit better with Bale but perhaps they wouldn't have signed Eriksen and/or Lamela (whatever that offset might be positive/negative).

A caveat - what if Real come in with a massive offer in January knowing Suarez is eligible for Europe... would the player push for a move?

He pushed for a move to Arsenal didn't he? so that question answers itself really.

Liverpool won't let him go in January, they need him if they want to make it into the top four.

Liverpool won't let him go in January, they need him if they want to make it into the top four.

Point being the players hold the power these days, not the club. If Real come sniffing offering a) European glory potential, b) a much bigger wage offer, and c) playing with Bale and Ronaldo vice Coutinho and Henderson, there's not much Liverpool can do except ask for a big fee.

If Liverpool make top four its because of his talismanic displays.

If they fail to make top four he'll be the next Galactico. #icanseethefuture

Liverpool shouldn't sell him for any fee. Just try to give him competent teammates and he could take them back to the level they so wish they were at. He's playing as well as anyone this season around the world. This is the sort of quality that's basically impossible to replace.
